Mental problems. Will someone help me? by James Sinjyn Smythe Q: I don't know who I am anymore. I used to be a nice, great, caring guy, now everytime I look in the mirror, I see a monster. A monster who cheats on his girlfriends and backstabs his best friends. Let me tell you. I was a nice guy once. Then after a turn of events, my personality took a sudden change. I don't know exactly why though, but I feel as if I am under influence. I have become very aggresive and jealous lately. Okay I'll tell you what I have done. First I told a once friend of mine that their mother killed themself because they hated them. Then I went online and made fun of a friend who's brother was mentally retarded. I have cussed out my family members and said they were pathetic. It has become worse where I have noticed. I have been hiting on one of my best friend's ex girlfriends. I even hit my own girlfriend and sexually harrassed her friends. My look matches my attitude. I have not shaven and I look more emo than ever. It's like I am Superman from Superman III. Did I forget to add that I have been hugging and sexually harrassing girls infront of my girlfriend lately? Also here's something you may want to know. As I am becoming increasingly aggressive, my physical strength increases with it. I also wonder why my physical appearance has changed. I was a clean shaven man who looked like he would not hurt a fly. Now I have messed up hair, I don't shave, I also look Emo which is weird because I don't hang out with these people. I want to know what has happend to me. I have not taken drugs nor do I drink. I don't know but as I said, it feels like I am under the influence of something, something of pure evil. I wonder how my now ex girlfrined and my best friend feel about this. Lately, my friends have been telling me I have been acting very cocky and I need to stop. Hell, my own girlfriend says she does not know who I am anymore.

A: Have you been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder? Are you angry at someone. I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. You need someone to talk to. Not saying you are crazy but something is going on and maybe you need to talk to a counselor or take out that aggression in sports. I know sometimes when I am upset or angry I say terrible things (similar to what you said). I was diagnosed with manic depression and just was all screwed up. I don't see you as a monster but as a person who is calling out for some help. I bet that nice and caring guy is still in there he's just being hidden by this other person who needs to go away. Therapy did help me and maybe it will help you too. I will keep you in my prayers. I hope you will get better and become back to your old self again-I did.

Actors who play multiple comicbook characters.? by cirestan Q: I know I will get a lot of vomitous answers from people who won't read this but... Name actors/actresses who have played more than one comic book character in major motion pictures. It doesn't matter if the comic is DC, Marvel, or any Indy comic. BUT, the character must be defined in the comic book, and not the opposite, such as a comic that was spun off the movie. Television shows do not count, so even though Annette O'Toole plays Martha Kent in Smallville, and played Lana Lang in Superman III, since Smallville is not a movie, it does not count. Likewise characters created just for a movie and are not in the comics do not count, for instance, even though Rebecca Romijn plays Mystique in X-Men, she plays an un-comic book related character in The Punisher, so once again she would not count. Voices in animation don't count, either. I have only found one actor who has done this. I will give my answer tomorrow or on Monday. And obviously not the same character in sequels. Keep them coming. This question was originally posed to me before Sin City was made so I never thought of those. And obviously Superman Returns came out after Sin City as well, so I never thought of that one, either. Catwoman was such an awful movie that I had purged it from my brain. I need to disqualify Schwarzenegger because both the comic and the movie arose from the pulp fiction novellettes in "Weird Tales". But still good catches across the board. What other ones can you come up with? You still haven't come up with the one I came up with. You're getting a little out of control. You are now listing LOTS that were movies before they were comic books.

A: How about Halle Berry....Storm in X-Men 1, 2, & 3 and Catwoman. Arnold Schwarzenegger....Conan the Barbarian and Mr Freeze in Batman & Robin James Marsden...Cyclops in X-men movies and Richard White in Superman Returns. Not both heroes or villians but real comics characters. Jessica Alba...The Invisible Woman(Sue Storm) and Nancy Callahan in Frank Miller's Sin City. Michael Clarke Duncan...Kingpin in The Daredevil and Minute in Sin City I'll keep thinking of em all day, stuck in my head now lol OK Jim Carrey as The Mask, Stanley Ipkiss and The Riddler in Batman Forever Liam Neeson as Darkman and Henri Ducard in Batman Begins It doesn't count yet but........Ken Watanabe was Ra's Al Ghul in Batman Begins and is going to be Silver Samarai in the Wolverine spinoff. Sam Elliot was General Ross in Hulk and is going to be Caretaker in Ghost Rider. Put those in just for chits and grins. Tommy Lee Jones as K in Men in Black and Two Face in Batman Forever. Jaime King was Jade in Bulletproof Monk and played Goldie and her sister Wendy in Sin City. Jennifer Connelly was Betsy Ross in the Hulk and Jenny Blake in The Rocketeer. OWWWW my brain hurts, lol. OK, OK I'm done for a while but Bulletproof Monk, The Rocketeer, Men in Black, Darkman, The Mask were all comics 1st I believe. I DO wanna know who you figured out though and I do agree that Conan came from the pulpies 1st. I thought that Darkman was a comic 1st but maybe was wrong. The others I verified on wikipedia..link is below. Doesn't matter though as I've had fun just thinking about it. THX

Can someone help me with my life crisis right now? by James Sinjyn Smythe Q: I don't know who I am anymore. I used to be a nice, great, caring guy, now everytime I look in the mirror, I see a monster. I wonder how my now ex girlfrined and my best friend feel about this. Lately, my friends have been telling me I have been acting very cocky and I need to stop. Hell, my own girlfriend says she does not know who I am anymore.

A: Well, let me start off by saying I can relate to a smaller level. I have gone through similar changes, though not quite to that extent. However, lately, I have been able to pull myself above that a bit. The first act that needs to be fixed, and problably the reason your doing this, is habit. Habit is a nasty thing for all of us, some have worse habits than others, in this case, this is truly one of the worst habits we can have. The best thing to do to fix this is that if you feel like you are about to walk into a situation where you may hurt your girlfriend, cheat on her, or cuss at your family- stop, think, and breathe. If you know your walking into something that may explode, just be more careful and instead of blowing up on your family or girlfriend, consider an alternative like a friendly, calm mannered debate. This, if excercised correctly, should fix a good portion of the problem. However, the only person that will know and support you through changing this bad habit is you, and you alone. You have to want, and desire to change, and change, not just talk about it or think it will just come with ease. It is not an easy thing to do, but in the end, it makes your life so much better, and so much more filled with happiness. The second thing you can do is instead of apologizing, and doing it again, instead of apologizing, don't do it at all so you don't have to. This is partially habit, partially will of the good within you. Sometimes we are all misled in life down a rough, destructive path such as this, and it becomes habit, so when we are walking out of the hard times, we still have that hate or anger within us. The best thing to do is acknowledge that what your doing is horrible, and strive to be the good person you once were. I find doing such very difficult, unless you have a belief, or something to support you through your hard work back to being yourself again. Don't rely on a person to help you change, because human flaw is inevitable, and can easily cause more damage than fix without being on purpose. I recommend perhaps religion, or some sort of belief in life is always a good way to find your way back. I personally, switch between atheism and non-fundamentalist (non church going) Christianity very often truth be told. Sometimes my belief in something better than me, or some purpose that I hold in my life is worth fighting for, and worth making a stand to achieve that as the good person I know I could be. If you really dislike religion, have something like love, or dedication, or some moral belief that will help you through the trouble, and struggle against your own hurtful habit you have. So do yourself a favor, and start right now, because if you don't it becomes harder to break that habit everyday. Go shave either tonight or tomorrow, dress well, feel fresh air, and remember to enjoy life. Start every day with positive feelings and habits, and keep persistant at them. It takes a good few weeks, if not a couple months to fix a wrong habit if not more. However, I encourage you to keep to your dream of once again being the kind person you were, because I found that within me again, and it was fantastic. That alone was reward enough. Good luck to you, and I wish you well through this hard time you seem to have encountered. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me anytime and perhaps I may assist.

What is the worse Comic Book/superhero movie ever? by mj456a Q: The Fantastic Four (1989), Captain America (1990), Superman III, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Howard the Duck, Supergirl, Swamp Thing, Return of Swamp Thing, Darkman II: The Return Of Durant, Darkman III: Die Darkman Die, Spawn, or is there another one not listed? ADDED: Batman Forever, Batman & Robin (1997), Hulk (2003),

A: Batman & Robin (1997) with Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I say this because of the huge hype and budget that went along with its release ... the biggest disappointment ever in the Comic Super Hero Genre ...

What would you do if Transformers, the up coming movie turned out like this? by James Sinjyn Smythe Q: What would you do if Transformers, the up coming movie turned out like this? 1.Joel Schumacher directs 2.George Lucas writes 3.Jim Carrey voices Megatron 4.Arnold Schwarzeeneger voices Optimus Prime 5.Shaquell O' Neal voices Bumblebee(since all his movies are bad) 6.All the robots have nipples, butt checks, and a cod piece! 7.Green,pink,and blue backround lights 8.Kevin Federline and Brittany Spears compose the music 9.Uwe Boll produces 10.Ben Afflec plays Sam Witwicky 11.Jeneffer Lopez plays the girl instead of Megan Fox 12.Paris Hilton plays the President 13.Michael Jackson plays Jon Voight's role 14.Ahmed Best voices a robotic Jar Jar Binks who ends up becoming the main character 15.Hayden Christensen voices Starscream 16.A 30 minute rap off with the robots towards the end of the movie 17. A poop joke of some sort every 5 minutes 18.The opening credits scene is nothing but a slapstick sequence just like the one in Superman III's 19.Optimus Prime starts dancing and hitting on women just like Peter Parker did in Spider-Man 3 and even gets and emo hair style 20.All the other robots have rainbow colored Afros for some reason

A: If Michael Jackson was in it then I would actually watch it! ♥♥We Love You Michael!!!!♥♥

What did you think of X-men: The Last Stand? by Kris Q: What did you think of X-men: The Last Stand? I actually liked it. From what I have heard, either people really liked it or really hated it. The people that liked it thought it told a good story and had really good special effects. On the other hand, people thought it was campy like Batman Forever and Superman III. They said it had poor character development and lack of emotion. They claim the dialouge was weak and use an example of poor dialouge like: President: Hell hath no fury like a woman's breasts". It was campier than the first two but it had really good special effects and the story was good even though there was not enough emotion and character development. I hope there will be an X-men 4 and if there is I hope it will break the 4th film curse.

A: I think what makes "the last stand" the best of the trilogy, is that it focuses on the "essence" of X-Men: that there are no good guys and bad guys. There are different sides and you choose which one to support. The weak boundaries between right and wrong is what makes the plot superior and intellectual. you can understand the motives behind the actions of everybody, and you can see how Magneto, for example, appreciates the spirit and the just cause that Xavier was fighting for, and at the same time, disagrees with his opinion. This immediately conveys strength in how characters believe in their missions and lead their people accordingly. In short, I am one of the people who think it is a great movie and I wish that we can see more of X Men

What if Uwe Boll directed an X-men movie with this crew? by Jon D25 Q: What if Uwe Boll directed an X-men movie with Joel Schumacher as co-director and producer, Ilya Salkind as one of the producers,Larry the Cable Guy as co-producer and writer,Mcg as co-producer and co-writer, Brett Ratner as co-producer and co-writer,and Pitof as co-producer and co-writer? Plus Music by K-Fed and Ken Thorne(Superman III)!!! What would this movie be like?!!!

A: Like X-Men 3 :D

Is Smallville (CW Series on early Superman character) out of ideas? by teejayniles Q: Why do you suppose tonight they are having a reunion with an actor who left early in the series (Pete Ross character played by Sam Jones III)? For Season 8 will there be any DC character or villain left unintroduced ? Hawkman? Green Lantern?

A: I Love Smallville... But yes, I have been driven crazy recently with idea area? How many times Lana make a comeback ... Do something, fall of the fence and get the show going again.... and... yes, When is Clark going to start flying instead of running?

How do I get the music soundtrack from the actual film (i.e. SUPERMAN) onto CD? For ex: Credits from Superman by Superman fan Q: Remember now, I'm interested in getting the EXACT TRACK, or feed, of music from the film, just minus the sound effects of the credits swooshing in. I ALREADY HAVE the 2 CD Soundtrack of Superman, and Disc 1, Track 1's "Prelude & Main Title March" is fantasic and doesn't disappoint. It's just that the mix and edit in the FILM ITSELF is diff: The bass is emphasized more, the pitch is sped up when the main theme is introduced after the fanfare, and there are 2 time edits. Basically, the main titles as HEARD IN THE FILM are completely unique and can't be found anywhere else. That's why I'd like to get it onto CD w/o the sound effects and then subject it to an equalizer, and then somehow RE-RECORD it onto another CD where it'll sound even better. I'd also like to do THE EXACT SAME THING for the training montage from ROCKY I and the opening montage of ROCKY III, which features a unique recording of EYE OF THE TIGER, for the exact same reason.

A: No offense, but it's too much to write here. BUT luckily, someone has already done it for me ;) http://www.glump.net/content/audio_dvd_rip/guide.htm Good Luck!

What if Uwe Boll and Joel Schumacher directed a Spider-man movie with this crew? by Mr. RKA Mad Scientist Q: What could happen if Uwe Boll directed a Spider-man movie with Joel Schumacher as co-director and producer, Ilay Salkind as the producer, Larry the Cable Guy as producer and writer, Pitof as producer and writer,McG as producer and writer, and Brett Ratner as producer and writer. Plus Music by K-Fed and Ken Thorne(Superman III). What could happen with a crew this bad? Think about the lines too! You would have Larry the Cable guy, Ratner, Pitof, Mcg,all writing with Uwe Boll and Schumacher directing!

A: Well, I would use the "too many cooks spoil the soup" cliche....but I doubt that I would call any of those people "cooks", or "people that should be doing movies" McG, Brett Ratner, I don't have much of a problem with them, but the others...ugh

What has happened to the Superman franchise (for Superman fans only) ? by Mike Q: Any other Superman fans out there that feel similar to the way I do? I've been a huge fan of the Christopher Reeve movies since I saw them on VHS when I was about four years old, wasn't born yet when they were in theaters. After twenty years of a Superman movie in development hell, I read in 2005 that a new Superman movie was finally on its way, I was just totally anticipated. I saw the photos of Brandon Routh as Clark Kent on the internet, I thought to myself "Awesome, they got the right guy for this part!" but that feeling changed when I saw the first picture of him in the Superman suit, I was unimpressed and thought he looked like a wimpy version of Superman. But I brushed that aside and was still looking forward to it, I even trusted Bryan Singer because of his two recent X-Men films. I'm surprised I even liked the idea of this movie picking up where the second Superman movie left off (erasing III and IV out of the continuity) which turned out to be one of the things that bothered me the most. Well, when "Superman Returns" was finally released in 2006, I went and saw it leaving the theater feeling disgusted. Instead of a "real" Superman film, we got some A-list director's personal fan film which looked more like a two and a half hour-long Saturday Night Live skit making fun of the old Superman movies. Who does Bryan Singer think he is to try restarting the Chris Reeve Superman series? I know parts III and IV were embarrassing but Reeve is dead, that continuity is nothing without him! Didn't you find the ending blasphemous when Routh as Supes looks into the camera before flying off into space which was Reeve's trademark in the old movies? If I saw Bryan Singer now, I'd walk up to him and spit in his face for raping my childhood. Now they announced that they're rebooting the Superman franchise but I don't know, I'm afraid they're just going to rush it and compete with the other superhero franchises. I think they should just take their time and look for the best creative team they can fine before going into production. "Superman Returns" was a great opportunity wasted to bring the most iconic superhero ever back on track. Superman is a great character and his fans deserve better.

A: The problem is that the studios look at these franchises as a cash cow and feel that with a built-in audience, they can crank out anything and make a profit, rather than a quality product. As it usually the case, you need to let the franchise cool down a bit, to built anticipation, rather than a film a year, which tires out everyone

What movies did you rent from Netflix lately? by Q: Today I received: Superman III w/ Richard Pryor Poison Ivy w/ Drew Barrymore The Hollywood Knights w/Tony Danza

New Year City lights power-out, has it ever happened in real life? by Q: I've seen so many movies where at night-time, the city has a 'lights out', ESPECIALLY new york city...in films such as Superman III, Fantastic Four, etc and even in a few Simpsons episode, all the lights in the town of Springfield turn off.... Has it ACTUALLY happened to NEW YORK CITY in real life ?

A: Happens about every 20 years or so. Last time was in 2003, I think, and it effected the entire Northeast, including NYC.

Which version of Superman II should we watch? by william5000forever Q: I am bringing over a friend who has NEVER seen any of the Superman movies. I will of course, watch Superman I, Superman II and Superman Returns (skipping on III and IV), but the question remains, which version of Superman II should I watch? Should it be the Richard Lester 1980 version or the Richard Donner 2006, or both before watching Superman Returns?

A: Richard Donner's Cut. No doubt.

Do you agree with me that Superman Returns should be a sequel and not a prequel? by Merrick Baliton Q: New costume usually means a sequel and not a prequel. Anybody with a common sense knows that. And pretending II and III don't exist is stupid. I think he basically screw up the whole storyline of all four movies as well as the franchise. I will not watch another Superman movie ever again thanks to him.

A: I'm more concerned about Superman having a son, ruining the franchise!

Why did Sam Jones III leave Smallvillle? by Shaun S Q: Sam Jones III played Pete Ross in the first three seasons of Smallville. Did he not want to do the show anymore, did the writers write him out of the show, or was there some kind of conflict of interest? BQ: Don't you think it's a little weird that the actress who plays as Clark's mother (Annette O' Toole) is the same person who played the original Lana Lang in Superman 3? Has anyone else picked up on this? Technically does this mean that Clarks's mom is also his ex-girlfriend?

A: He left to film Glory Road and after that decided not to return plus there was no real point left for his character to be in Smallville full time again. He did come back in 1 episode of Season 8 but left again as he was starring in ER at the same time. Lisa Michelle x x lol x x

Does Superman need oxygen to live? Can't I just kill him by suffocation? by Franko Rizzo Q: If he doesn't need oxygen, then why does he have lungs? He obviously has lungs to supply his organs with oxygen, so couldn't you just kill him if you depraved him from air for long enough? That is, you see him fly around in space, but he couldn't take a super long trip in space, could he? Else he'd die? I mean, in Superman III, Clark Kent killed his evil twin by strangling him. So Supermand died pretty quickly when the oxygen was cut off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XY3dxb5OpIw&feature=player_embedded# yes, but he dies soooo quickly in "superman III" when clark kent strangles him.

A: He can fly in space, so i dont know how much oxygen he needs. I mean he could hold his breath for a couple of years or something. For one reason or another i dont think it would be possible unless he had kryptonite attached to his body and he was flung in space or bottom on ocean, and again that isn't a for sure thing either

What do you think is your favorite Modern Superman villian? Which of the following actors do you think made the best Superman? by FOG_USA Q: Just a fun pole! Which of the following actors who have played Superman made the best Superman? Kirk Alyn, Superman (1948), Atom Man vs. Superman (1950) George Reeves, Superman And The Mole Men (1951), Adventures of Superman (1952-1958) David Wilson, It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Superman TV special (1975) Christopher Reeve, Superman (1978), Superman II (1980), Superman III (1983), Superman IV: The Quest For Peace (1987) Ron Ely, (Two-part episode of the Superboy TV series in 1991) Dean Cain, Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993-1997) Tom Welling, Smallville (2001-) Brandon Routh, Superman Returns (2006) WOW! Thank you for all the great responses! There seems to be some question as to how I came up with the list of actors. I went to the DC Comic web site and copied their list of Actors who have played Superman as a real life character. I figured if they have it on their site they should know as they created Superman and still have the rights to his character. On the other hand no one is perfect so who ever put this list together must have chose the people/actors he/she liked. I have seen all of the actors except the first one Kirk Alyn and I like the way they all played Superman. Each actor had has own way and his own idea of how the character should have been played. Also thank you all for keeping your answers friendly and nice! That is so rare lately on YA! Peace!

A: Christopher Reeve, good actor over all. Not just for his Superman parts.

Purchasers of the Superman Ultimate Collection please respond!? by m_ray2006 Q: I am interested in buying this set but have stumbled upon a couple problems posted on the Superman Homepage. Here is a copy-paste from the website: "Apparently there are a few problems with the "Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition" DVD set. From what I understand, there are two distinct errors... The "Superman III" disc included in the set is nothing more than the standard disc released in the 2001 release, and does not include the bonus material as advertised. The theatrical version of "Superman: The Movie" does not contain the 1978 English 5.1 audio track as promised, but defaults to French or German (depending on region). The English 2.0 track is the 2001 mix. To our knowledge these errors occur in all regions." So...does this mean the theatrical version really isn't in English at all???

A: it just means that you can only listen to it in stereo in english instead of surround sound in english... surround sound is only available in french or german...

What is your favorite modern time Superman movie? by darth1977malak Q: Superman: The Movie -1978 Superman II - 1980 Superman III - 1983 Superman IV: Quest for Peace - 1987 Superman Returns - 2006

A: I liked the original Superman in '78, but I also liked Superman Returns of '06. They did a great job of matching things up from the older movies.

Of all the SUPERMAN movies, which ones were the best? by THE GUARDIAN OF FOREVER Q: Superman and Superman II were simply great. Superman III was fun, but fell short of greatness. Your thoughts? KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

A: The first 2 Chris Reeve supes were the best. Superman Returns had better special effects but fell short also. I would like to see supes fight someone else. i mean, he's prob the most powerful superhero of them all and he keeps fighting lex luther, not even the cool lex from smallville, the old semi comic one. let's see more and newer villians. even brainiac woud be different.

Which movie do you think is better? Superman Returns, or X-men III? by volley_boy04 Q:

A: Superman Returns by leaps bounds! X-Men 3 was a phenomenal disappointment. There was no character development. Major character inaccuracies. The SL was so rushed with a runtime of 104 minutes it was ridiculous with an undeveloped plot.

What is your favorite Superman movie? by Ryan A Q: Which Superman movie do you like best? 1.Superman 2.Superman II 3.Superman III 4.Supergirl(Spinoff) 5.Superman IV:The Quest for Peace(5th movie if you count Supergirl) Also, list the movies that you have seen in rank. The most favorite Superman movies at the top of the list while the ones you do not like at the bottom of the list. My rank: 1. Superman II-better story, more action, and villians from Krypton. 2.Superman-great,but not perfect. The effects are good though. 3. Superman III-If it was'nt campy and the villian was a comic book villian, I would have liked it better. It is a good movie though, and Richard Pryor is okay. 4.Supergirl-Bad plot, bad effects, but Helen Slater is hot. Only for Helen Slater die hard fans. 5.Superman IV: The Quest for Peace-WTF, this film is unforgivable. Horrible plot, effects are much, much worse, bad acting, Nuclear Man is corny and has the worst lines in the movie, Lex Luthor is not in it enough, still campy, bad dialouge. Nothing is good about this film. Ruined Chris Reeve's career. I hate this film!

A: The first two are in a class of it's own. I don't know why people feel the need to kill a perfectly good franchise of comic heros... Superman is a good example as is the original Batman series, the first two were classics and then came the dumb villians, the butt shots, the cartoon sound effects when someone fell down. I think it's common knowledge the first two were the best, and that's why Superman Returns takes place after the first two films, as a continuation. Atleast the franchise wasn't totally killed due to the bad films such as Batman. Batman started all over with Batman Begins and it was a great film. I only hope Superman Returns can do the same.

What did you think of Superman Returns? by Mr. RKA Mad Scientist Q: I thought it was great! This is the best one in the series! Even though it opened to $21 million yesterday, that is better than most projections for Wed. opening. Waner Bros. thought it would make as much or less than Batman Begins on Wed. since they changed the release date so sudden! I think it could do well this weekend since word of mouth is good. This is what Superman III should have been! No scary robot women in this movie. When I saw that robot woman when I first watched it when I was seven years old, I was scared to death! This is better than III and a million times better than Superman IV: The Quest for Crap! I thought Brandon Routh did great and Luthor was so villianous. He was pure evil! What did you think of the movie?!

A: I also thought the movie was great. I would give it a solid B+. The special effects were amazing. The plot was great, new and original. The direction of the film by Bryan Singer was fantastic... my only problem was with some of the acting. It's hard not to think about the original movies starring Christopher Reeves, Gene Hackman, and Margot Kidder. I found that Brandon Routh's Clark Kent was not as funny, clumsy and socially inept as Reeves' Clark Kent. I Thought that Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor, while he was an awesomely evil villain, did not inject as much humor as Hackman's Lex. Finally, Kate Bosworth's Lois Lane was not nearly as spunky, fiesty, confident, and independent as Kidder's Lois. This is no doubt simply due to the writing of the characters, but it shows through greatly. It would be unfair to grade the movie purely on it performance versus the first two movies, I can only say that the first two were just more entertaining. That said, as an updated revival of the series, this film did an amazing job of bringing Superman back to the big screen, in a big way.

Which villains from the modern Superman films listed below would be the hardest for Superman to beat? by darth1977malak Q: Modern Superman Films Superman: The Movie(1978) Superman II(1980) Superman II:The Richard Donner's Cut(2006/re-edit 1980) Superman III(1983) Superman IV:Quest for Peace(1987) Superman Returns(2006)

A: The unfortunate thing about Superman in the movies is that the villians never seem to go too far from Lex Luthor. And unless you're talking about the Smallville Lex, he's boring and way past prime. It would be so cool if instead of Lex he fought Darkseid or better yet, Doomsday in the next movie. For your answer tho, I think the super computer would have been the hardest for Supes to defeat.

What do you think of this Superman movie idea? by Mr. RKA Mad Scientist Q: What could happen if Uwe Boll directed a Superman movie with Joel Schumacher as co-director and producer, Ilay Salkind as the producer, Larry the Cable Guy as producer and writer, Pitof as producer and writer,McG as producer and writer, and Brett Ratner as producer and writer. Plus Music by K-Fed and Ken Thorne(Superman III). What could happen with a crew this bad?

A: HAH! Oh well, at least you have an interesting sense of humor.....I mean I hope you're kidding. Pray to god this never happens...but then again there are enough movies out there being made that are equally as dumb as this idea so it wouldn't be that big of a deal, would it?

After Superman and Spiderman III, isn't it time for (another) movie with Underground Comic Characters? by Skydog70 Q: Yeah, I know "Fritz the Cat", but that was 35 years ago and it was a cartoon, How about a movie with real people called "The Furry Freak Brothers", or "Mr. Natural"?

A: I wouldn't mind seeing a movie about Lady Shiva.

What are the similarities between Christ and Superman? by mj456a Q: I have seen all the Superman movies.... Superman: The Movie Superman II (& The Richard Donner Cut) Superman III Superman IV: The Quest For Peace Superman: Returns And I have watched all the TV shows about Superman and read all the comics books. Can you point out in what ways Jesus & Superman are alike? There are a few similarities that I am aware of, one is that they both love to save people. Can you find more???? (NOTE: Superman is a fictional character, Christ is a real human being. That is a difference between them. NO POINTS TO PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT THEY ARE BOTH FICTIONAL). To sahara_springs: Superman does have followers (STEEL, THE LAST SON OF KRYPTON, SUPERBOY and others. You have to read many of the comics to pick that up) and he inspires people to do good to one another. Thanks, that is another similarity. To David F: So far, so good, can you come up with any more??? (Thanks for the kal- EL/Jewish reference, I wasn't aware of that.) To Angel on Earth: Thanks for your input, I like the whole created by God's will idea. Can you find any more similarities? To Aphrodite: About that "father becoming son" speech, it originated in Superman: The Movie, when Marlon Brando (Jor-el) sends the baby Kal-el to earth and when young Clark Kent turns into Superman in the Fortress of solitude sequence. Creative consultant Tom Mankiewicz says on the DVD audio commentary that he wanted to create a parallel representation symbolically between God sending Jesus to Earth and Jor-el sending Kal-el to earth to save all mankind from evil. Good job noticing and picking up some of those elements within the latest instalment, Superman: Returns. I picked up on them too. Here in a nutshell is some of the similarities between Christ and Superman..... 1) Both, The Bible and the original Action Comic Book had Jewish writers originally tell there story. 2) Superman's real name kal- EL is a Jewish reference to God. 3) Lex Luther is similar in sound to Lucipher (AKA - The Devil) 4) Superman is Jor-El's only son as is Jesus to God. 5) Superman was sent to Earth by his father as a baby to save all mankind. Jesus was born a baby and was sent by God to save all mankind. 6) Both are raised by common people. Jesus by a carpenter, Superman by farmers. 7) Both did little things when younger, both went public around age 30. More Below...... 8) Both have followers. Superman has followers (STEEL, THE LAST SON OF KRYPTON, SUPERBOY and others. You have to read many of the comics to pick that up) and both inspire people to do good to one another. 9) Both Jesus and Superman go off to be by himself often (Jesus goes to pray and speak with his father). Superman often goes to speak with his father in his Fortress of solitude. 10) Both have Earth fathers who died. Superman's father, Jonathan Kent, dies of a heart attack in Superman: The Movie. (Although the Bible is silent as to what happen to Jesus' father, Joseph, is to believed to have died some time before Jesus began his ministry. Many Biblical scholars claim that if Joseph was alive he would have also would have been at Mary's side during the crucifixion of their son.) More Below...... 11) Both possess powers and abilities far beyond those of mere mortal men and used them for good. 12) Jesus chased all the money changers from the temple. Superman chases his chief villain, the Greedy Lex Luthor, out from the city of Metropolis. (In several comic books) 13) Jesus told his followers and others that the world needs a 'savior'. In Superman: Returns, superman proves to Lois Lane and others, that the world really needs a 'savior' after all. 14) Jesus died on a cross for the forgiveness of sins, defeated the devil, and was resurrected from the dead by God. Superman died fighting Doomsday to save mankind from Doomsday path of destruction, later Superman was resurrected by his father, Jor-el. (in Comic Books). More Below..... Here are two more interesting side notes.... In Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, Jor-el says to his son that he must make choices of his own free will. In the film, Superman, gives up his powers to become mortal, later he realizes his mistake (Jesus makes no mistakes). His father reappears to state that he has also "foreseen" this and has made plans to redeem his son through him. In the Bible, God often allows people to make choices of their own free will, wether they be good or bad. God hopes that people make good choices, but even if people do not, God has foreseen the future and always has a plan to redeem all people through His Son. In Superman III, Superman is exposed to a bad form of kryptonite and becomes two persons, one good and one evil, yet both are parts of the same being. In the film, the good wins over the evil. Some can attribute this to "Dr. Jyckle and Mr. Hyde", but in The Bible, the apostle Paul often wrote about the spiritual war within ourselves Thanks to all those who reponded.

A: 1) both had Jewish writers originally tell there story. 2) Superman's real name kal- EL is a Jewish reference to God 3) they both work to save the world. 4) in the Superman of the 1990's he actually returned from the dead. Is that enough? Here is another the name Lex Luther is very close in sound to Lucipher. Superman goes off to be by himself often. Many of those times he goes to speak with his father. .

A: They didn't want to pay him the salary he was asking for, and because they pretty much replaced him with a lookalike in superman II.

Superman III movie bad rap!? by Jonas Q: Okay, I have heard so many complaints about people not liking this movie.. why? If your a big a Superman as me, you would know that the movie actually has relativity to the old comics when braniac roamed free. And if you ask me, it has some of Christopher Reeve's best acting in it.

A: The best thing to come out of this movie was Office Space borrowing the scam from it.

In Superman III, when Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor) first arrives in Smallville, is he carrying? by Justin W Q: a Louis Vuitton suitcase?? I just noticed that the other day and I was curious if anyone could tell for certain if that is what it is. Thank you for your time.

A: It's possible, but doubtful. Money is usually tight on sets and valuable props are frowned upon due to things "going missing".

How does Superman get a haircut? by water_skipper Q: How does Superman/Clark Kent get a haircut? It's obvious that he hasn't managed to go through his life without getting a haircut. Everything about him is supposed to be strong though. In Superman III they even showed a strand of his hair holding a 1000 pound weight. So how does he shave or get a haircut?

A: i've actually always thought about this one too. in an episode of smallville, cloe tried to cut clark's hair but her scissors broke. i believe it was still cut, though. maybe it is possible or maybe his hair just simply doesn't grow.

What is the meaning of this sentence "Kiss the 85 thou goodbye?" in Superman III (1983). Thank you.? by Q:

Which "Superman" sequel was worse: "Superman III" or "Superman IV: The Quest For Peace"? Why? by PaulyDragon Q: Both of these movies are incredibly awful, but at least "Superman IV" is a lot shorter, and is fun to watch, from a "Mystery Science Theater 3000" perspective. In "III" Robert Vaughn and Richard Pryor simply do not work as villains, and (as in most of his movies) Richard Pryor simply isn't funny---far better at uncensored standup. Other than a few sight gags and the brawl in the junkyard, this has got to be one of the very worst, least entertaining movies I have ever seen. Nuclear Man is one of the gayest-looking "villains" I have ever seen. He, like the rest of "IV", is so bad he's hilarious. I go with "Superman IV". It's hilariously bad, the special effects are hysterically not so special, and Mariel Hemingway shows her legs to Clark Kent. Grawr!! My opinion, anyway.

A: I've really only seen Superman III, which was dreadfully bad when you compare it to the first two...Superman Returns was effects superior but the story was terrible, and I don't want to see another Superman movie with Lex Luthor in it. I mean, come on!

Which movie is worse? Superman III, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, or Batman & Robin? by Mr. RKA Mad Scientist Q: Since Superman Returns comes out in a little more than a day, I decided to ask a Superhero movie related question. Which is worse? Superman III, Superman IV, or Batman & Robin. I think Superman IV is much worse! I actually liked Batman & Robin and Superman III. Both could have been much better though!

A: Easy! .. Superman 4!. I loved it when that Sun god took the publisher lady in to outerspace with him and she didnt combust after they left the earths atmosphere! CLASSIC! lol Or how supermans hair in the museum can hold 1000 pounds but lex luthor cuts it off with a pair of SCIZZORS! REAL BELIEVABLE! LOL the director must have been on crack when he wrote that script! lawl But Chris Reeve is still the best Superman hands down!

In Superman III, how did the good Superman defeat the evil Superman? by <3 my nut brown maiden Q:

What secret ingredient in the kryptonite in 'Superman III' splits? by David Q: Superman into two entities, one good, one evil? Nicotine Topaz Emerald Tar memory test looking it up on computer is not memory

A: Tar. From an ingredient listed on a cigarette.

Why reason Gene Hackman and Margot Kidder disappears, in Superman III? by Sávio do ES Semi-ausente p/ hora Q: In Superman IV, both have representative participation but, in the III, simply they are ignored. Somebody knows the reason here?

What made Superman III (1983) different from the original...? by Q: Superman (1978),Superman II (1981) and Superman IV (1987)

A: No Lex Luther. Different love interest.

Why was Superman III so much worse than the first two films? by Dr. Arroganto Q: Why would God allow it?

A: A. Richard Lester was the only director B. No Lex/Hackman C. Minimal Lois -- she was there for the 'book end story' D. Lame Villain E. Pryor is a comedy GAWD... the very nature of putting him in a film skews it towards comedy F. while 'Drunk Superman' and the battle of his personalities was rather epic in but light of point E it loses effect G. too much 'funny' for the fans' sake.. 'The Big Kumquat' is delivered straight as though it's normal w/in the film but the sole point of the joke is to play off the fans recognizing Metropolis as an ersatz NYC, and NYC being the Big Apple, the straightening/and re leaning of the Tower in Pisa, Italy with the whole joke being in the sculptor's reaction on point A. Lester, picked up part of Superman 2 after the Producers fired Donner and much of teh film was already done -- and what he actually did was minimal as all of Hackman's scenes were shot while Donner was still in charge, when they were filming 1&2 together... so maybe a third to a quarter remained for him to finish after they shifted focus to getting 1 in theaters and he stepped in for the finish -- not to mention that when you look at Lester's Filmography his biggest claims to fame as a director came in the 60's early 70's, by 1983 when S3 came out he was so far behind the times that I doubt he could have directed a successful cereal commercial
