LilWibby87 [email protected]: I really hope this is a preview of the Stanley Cup.” #Kuntizistheman

knucklepucker What a hockey game. This will be the Stanley Cup Finals. Can't wait for six games of this. Yeah, no more seven games or on the road.

ByDeWitt I want an LA Kings vs. Penguins Stanley Cup Final.

What does the inside of the stanley cup say? by specopsteam Q: What does it say on the inside of the top (bowl area) of the stanley cup? I was able to pause it but I didn't recognize the names inside or the teams?

A: The very first team to have their names inscribed are inscribed inside the cup, the 1907 Montreal Wanderers http://www.legendsofhockey.net/html/silver_stFFFs.htm The link contains a picture of the inside of the bowl

When will Canada win the Stanley Cup that my country is entitled to? by Kilometres Canada > America Q: Gary Bettman cant fix the Stanley Cup Finals for long, just like how he screwed Calgary, Ottawa, and Edmonton out of theirs. Somebody is mad that the Flyers lost to Chicago.

A: Dude, the majority of players on every team are Canadian. Canada still wins one way or another.

How many teams have won the Stanley Cup without a player who had previously won a Stanley Cup on their roster? by WeAreAllCanucks Q: Obviously the first team to win the Stanley Cup falls into this category, and there were probably a few in the very early history of the Cup. How many teams have done it since, say, the inception of the NHL?

A: I very much doubt there are any modern era teams like that. Maybe a team around World War II might have done it. Zubey, Rick Chartraw won with Montreal before he won in1983-84 with the Oilers Shotgun, 1990-91 Pens had Paul Coffey(Oilers), Brian Trottier, Gord Dineen (Isles), Joe Mullen, and Jiri Hrdina(Flames) whom all on cups Caron, I did very little research, but I found Mario Tremblay won 4 Cups with Montreal before 1985-86

How does everybody feel about the stanley cup going to the south? by caniac_girl_12 Q: I am so happy. I am from North Carolina. And it feels good to have the stanley cup. People come together here in north carolina to watch hockey. All doke, unc, and nc state fans cheer for the same team. That is awsome.

A: Carolina and Edmonton each had 12 Canadian born players dressed for game 7 of the finals. On that basis, you could say the teams were equally Canadian. Hockey is an international game, played in Canada, the USA, all over Europe, the former Soviet Union, and some other places, too. During the 2005-06 season, over 45% of the players who played in the NHL were born somewhere other than Canada. Only 6 of the league's 30 teams are based in Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver). The USA is where the consumer dollars are, it's where the TV money is. Hockey needs the USA, the hockey interest that exists in America makes hockey better. It's all about watching good entertaining hockey ... Carolina is a great team, they were fun to watch.

How do the Stanley Cup Playoffs work? What is a basic timeline for the entire series? by marygrace0175 Q: I'm a buyer for a sporting goods store and I've recently taken over part of our licensed business. I'm totally clueless about how the Stanley Cup works and I've got to place orders! Please help if you can!

A: Each series is best of 7. Therefore, the start of the next round depends solely on how long it takes the previous round to wrap up. 7 of the 8 series could end in 4 games, but if one series takes 7, the other teams wait around until typically 2 days after the last game ends. Inevitably, one series from the first round will go 7 games. With the odds of doing so increasing (not proven, just usually) in later rounds, as competition heats up. Last year the entire process took the better part of 2 months. See the link below for the breakdown of games and the length in which they were finished. If I were you I would buy 42 billion hats that say "Staney Cup Champions: Buffalo Sabres" but please buy the model with the old logo...our new one sucks.

What makes competing for the Stanley Cup the best experience in professional sports? by AIZ Q: Could it be that there is only one Stanley Cup that NHL teams compete for? There are plenty of Vince Lombardi, World Series, and Larry O'Brien trophies to go around, but only one Stanley Cup.

A: compared to all other major sporting competitions (MLB, NBA, etc.) the Stanley Cup playoffs are the hardest to win. Four best of seven rounds is a long time to battle for a title. It's also the glorious Lord Stanley's Cup.

Is the Stanley cup that travels with the winning teams players to their home town, a replica? by Elizabeth Q: They say, or I've heard, the real Stanley Cup is in a vault. And that the cup that hits the road with the winning hockey players to their home home town is a replica? Can anyone validate this?

A: Well lets see here since I am in a slightly bad mood atm I will start off by saying that YA has a search function....just making you aware of that...for all of those that gave a thumbs down to the correct answer I will list these for you. Have a good day. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtgNw9njU9dLSn_IBRchASUjzKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20070813112754AAwxF8h Taken Directly from Wikipedia There are actually three Stanley Cups: the original bowl, the authenticated Cup, and the replica at the Hall of Fame. The original bowl, purchased by Lord Stanley and physically awarded to the champion until 1970,[57] is now displayed in the vault room at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario.[57] The authenticated version or "Presentation Cup" was created in 1963 by Montreal silversmith Carl Petersen. NHL president Clarence Campbell felt that the original bowl was becoming too thin and fragile, and thus requested a duplicate trophy as a replacement.[58] The Presentation Cup is authenticated by the seal of the Hockey Hall of Fame on the bottom, which can be seen when winning players lift the Cup over their heads, and it is the one currently awarded to the champions of the playoffs and used for promotions.[45] This version was made in secret, and its production was only revealed three years later.[58] The replica trophy, called the "Replica Cup", was created in 1993 by Montreal silversmith Louise St. Jacques to be used as a stand-in at the Hockey Hall of Fame whenever the Presentation Cup is not available for display.[58] There are very few differences between the authenticated version and the replica version. The surest way to identify one version from the other is to check the engraving for the 1984 Stanley Cup winning Edmonton Oilers. The authenticated version has x's engraved over Basil Pocklington's name whereas his name is completely missing from the replica version. Have a nice day and remember Yahoo Answers has a search function. P.S Pretty much any answer you see from "Like I'm tell you who I am" or just LITY for short is the 100% correct answer unlike some people on here who use less then honorable methods.
