Any good books that might make me cry? by Dylan Q: I know it might sound dumb to ask for something to make me cry and be depressed and whatever, but it's the kind of stuff I like to read. I'm 15, so I'm kind of limited as to what I can even find, and we don't have a public library near us. Thanks!

What is your recommended summer reading list? by Faolchú Q: I will be getting out of school in less than two weeks! I am very excited! I am making it my goal to read about 20 - 30+ books this summer, could you please give me a recommended list of what you've read or are going to read? Suggest anything! If it helps, I'm at an adult reading level. I'm 14 years old and 'big books' do not frighten me. (:

Who is the person suppose to portray at the Washington DC Vietnam rally in Forrest Gump? by Julie Q: Who is the person wearing the American flag shirt cussing suppose to protray at the Washington DC Vietnam rally? Is it someone famous?

A: While in Washington to receive his medal, Forrest accidentally goes to an Abbie Hoffman rally and meets Jenny again who is now a hippie. During the award ceremony, President Lyndon Johnson asks Forrest where he was shot. Forrest replies "I was shot in the buttocks, sir." After Johnson jokes about wanting to seeing the wound, Forrest pulls down his pants to show him.

What are some good books for teen girls? by Dallas. Q: Some thing like looking for Alaska or the perks of being a wallflower? With teen issues like drug abuse or suicide, nothing like twilight or vampire books. I'm 16 so something geared toward older teens would be great.

A: If you've read Looking For Alaska, you should check out the rest of John Green's books! His newest one, The Fault in Our Stars is fantastic! It's about a girl with terminal cancer who has pretty much given up on life and just wants to pass away quietly, when she meets a boy named Augustus Waters in a support group. Green also has two other books (An Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns), but neither are quite the same level as Alaska and TFioS. All are good though. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher is about a girl who kills herself and leaves behind a recording explaining the 13 reasons why she did it. She instructs that the recordings are to be passed to each of the 13 people who caused these reasons. The story is told from the perspective of a boy who had kind of liked her and received the recordings, as he listens and tries to understand how he was involved. Aimee by Mary Beth Miller is about a girl whose friend (the titular Aimee) kills herself. The girl is blamed for Aimee's death. The story goes back and forth between what is happening to the girl in the present as she tries to deal with the fallout and the past as she remembers what happened to Aimee. The Pact by Jodi Piccoult- this one is actually for adults, but I read it at around your age, so you should be okay. It's about a boy and a girl who were supposedly very much in love- until the girl is killed, possibly by herself, possibly by the boy. The families, who have always been very close, have to deal with her death as the boy is put on trial for murder and the real story about what happened begins to emerge. Jodi Piccoult has many other books too, sooo 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson- a little more light hearted then the other ones on here, but this one is about a girl whose aunt dies of cancer and leaves her a sort of "scavenger hunt" all over Europe in the form of a series of blue envelopes with instructions as to where to go next. Going Bovine by Libba Bray is another less serious one... at least, at first. And it at times appears to be fantasy... but it really isn't. It's kind of hard to explain. Anyway, it's about a kid with mad cow disease who escapes from the hospital to go try and find a cure from a time travelling physicist. The ending is fantastic and sad. The whole thing is a "dark comedy" sort of story. If you want something a little different with some serious issues still, maybe check this one out? Some other ones I have not yet read, but have heard are good: Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys Pearl by Jo Knowles You are Not Here by Samantha Schutz The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver If I Stay by Gayle Foreman Before I Die by Jenny Downham

Can you recommend me some good books to read? by Fixed at Zero. Q: I like realistic books, that have a lot of problems. Like mental problems, relationship stuff, depression, etc. Some books I like are: anything that's by John Green, The Catcher In The Rye, It's Kind Of A Funny Story.

A: The Fault in our Stars by John Green The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom Entangled by Cat Clarke Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson Go Ask Alice by Anonymous You Against Me by Jenny Downhan Before I Die By Jenny Downham Boys Don't Cry by Malorie Blackman Cut by Patricia McCormick 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson

What are a few young adult books similar to these? by Cody Q: I love science-fiction novels in which the story takes place in a twisted future (i.e. the government has been altered, life has been changed dramatically). I can't really explain exactly what it is I'm looking for but if you know or read about these books, you'll get the idea. :-) Any other books like these are great!

Was Colin Quinn the worst show host in history? by Q: Now I know Magic Johnson was a train wreck, but it was still amusing to watch him fail, and I know Chevy Chase was, well, Chevy Chase, but for some odd reason I thought about that God Awful mess of a show he used to host 'Tough Crowd'. He has easily the worst delivery of any comedian in history. And its not that he isn't funny, he says some funny things. But the way he delivers a joke, all choppy and irritated, there is nothing like able at all about him. So, who was the worst show host in history? I say Colin Quinn, followed closely by Chevy Chase.

A: Colin Quinn was only tolerable on "Remote Control" and not much else (remember his stand-up comedy act? Ouch!)..."Tough Crowd" made Jenny McCarthy's sketch show look like an Emmy-winning masterpiece! The biggest talk show stinker (on concrete) was a toss-up between Pat Sajak (who thankfully kept his day job), Rick Dees, Alan Thicke, Magic Johnson, Kennedy (had a call-in show that lasted one episode) and Keenan Ivory Wayans (tried ripping off Arsenio Hall's show)....Chevy Chase clearly won the Late Night Talk Failure crown.

If you had to make up an alias what would it be? by Snip Q: But it can't be just some other name like Jenny Johnson, it has to be something like The Man in the Striped Sock or Blind Lemon Jefferson.

A: Joe I-dated-your-hot-sister-in-college Williams II

what is the easiest way to clean granite counters? by sknmysanity Q: I bake a lot, and I always seem to have some type of film left on my granite counters. What are the best products for cleaning granite? Thanks! Jenny

A: I like TileLab cleaner/protector for stone. I get it at the Depot. I like it because I too use my kitchen a lot and like to keep it clean and shiny. Many of the cleaners I've used, like Counter Majic for stone leave a greasy film and show fingerprints. A lot of my neighbors use 409, window cleaner or vinegar, but I've noticed over time their counter tops dulled as a result. The TileLab products take off grease, leave no film and make it shiny. I buy the big bottle and it lasts me about 6 months. You can also use a less expensive (1.99 vs 4.99) product called Jubliee by SC Johnson wax. It also does a great job at cleaning, but it is really getting difficult to find any more. I used to find it at the Sav-On (which changed to CVS here) and Long's drugs, but neither carry it any more. Some Ace & True Value Hardware stores have it, but they are a far travel just for Jubliee.
