When is Israel going to stop its atrocities and stop killing innocent Palestinians? by James Q: Enough is enough, look how many innocent Palestinian civilians have been hurt and killed, they're the ones living under the real threat, without basic necessities and are always under fear. When is enough enough? Israel is the one who will start the next World War, it shouldn't even be recognized and no one should send it anymore money. By the way I'm not Middle Eastern, I'm German and in Germany we're all aware of all the atrocities Israel has commited and don't understand why the U.S. keeps sending Israel so much money and anybody who criticizes Israel is called antisemitic.

A: You don't have to STOP doing something that you have never done. Hamas makes no bones about its intention to kill Israeli civilians with its rocket and mortar fire. Israel contacts residents of buildings housing terrorists or arms caches, and warns then to leave their homes before they are attacked. Hamas is the evil side, while Israel is the humanitarian side. .

What incentive does Israel have to achieve peace with its neighbors? by WuzUp? Q: If Israel were to be at peace, the billions of dollars the US gives them might cease and this is one of the main sources of Israel's income.

A: None. The Muslims would wait until the time is right and then strike. Idk what are you going to do? We can't afford to keep subsidizing them. They've gotta stand up on their own two feet and defend themsevles now.

How fast will Israel strike the Iranian nuclear production sites if Obama is elected? by WJ Q: No longer being able to count on America, Israel will need to take matters into their own hands, and chaos in the middle east will continue. How long will Israel wait to strike?

A: Since obama isn't going to be a friend of Israel I wouldn't be surprised if they did. They will do what they have to to survive.

What do Christian supporters of Israel believe to be the fate of Israel and its people in the end times? by WOODSEY NILES Q: What is the basis for so many Evangelical Christians fervently supporting Israel? I don't get it. I know Israel is mentioned in the Bible but I think its more in reference to a people rather than a geographic area. Why do some Christians seem to focus on Israel so much? Israel is a great nation with a wonderful people, but they do not share the same religion as these Evangelical Christians. So I can't figure out what the relationship is. What do Christian supporters of Israel believe to be the fate of Israel and its people in the end times?

A: Read Revelations. Christians want peace because this means more time to bring in more believers to Christ. When Israel is opposed by many nations, who knows when everyone will be against it. I would encourage you to read the Bible to better understand Christianity. You will have a much better perception then if I were to try and explain.

What is Israel Had Just Let the Flotilla Ships Dock at Gaza? by dolphin314etc Q: Would that not have been an abandonment of the concept of Israel defending its sovereign territory? Would that not have been allowing a precedent to be set that ships with uninspected cargoes can come to Gaza? What would the effect of allowing such ships to come be? Has anybody in Gaza ever launched any missile at any town in Israel? Was the missile and all of its parts manufactured in Gaza? Or did the missile get brought to Gaza from somewhere else? What would happen to the innocent civilians in Israel if the people of Gaza had an unlimited supply of missiles to launch into Israel? Here's a list of nations USA, Russia, China, France U.K. Germany ---- How many of these nations would allow ships with uninspected cargoes to come into their ports? How many of these nations would abandon their sovereignty? How many of these nations would put their citizens at risk of death, when they could avoid that? Come on now, speak up! You in the back --- would you say "yes"? Nobody?? OK then let's not criticise the Israelis. Let's not be total hypocrites. Ah, you want to criticize somebody -- OK how about the leader of Turkey, who is the turkey behind this huge piece of nonsense. He could have closed it down in a heartbeat. But he let it happen, now people are dead, and injured. The Israelis followed all the principles of military law. They used the minimum force. They did not open fire with live ammo until they were mobbed and beaten with metal bars and chairs in a life threatening manner. Two Israelis were very seriously injured in the fracas, before any Israelis opened fire with live ammo, which they had to ask permission before they could do. All of this is documented on tape. It is beyond dispute by any rational person. Turkey should be expelled from NATO and suspended as a client of the World Bank. It has done big mischief, and plans to do more -- it has two more ships it is planning to send -- I guess it imagines that Israel will decide to abandon its sovereignty and national security ---- no --- it does not imagine that ---- it just wants to cause mischief and loss of life --- the world should send Turkey a message. If they do send more ships, just sink them. War at sea is not beanbag. We can't indulge lunatics at sea. International waters are not a lunatic asylum, and Israeli Naval forces are not patient care nurses in a lunatic asylum. Next ship gets sunk -- the activists can paddle home, if they survive the sinking. Let's have one of those nations that I mentioned tell me that they would not defend their waters or ports, or that if they would, they would do it with more restraint, grace, mercy, class, and valor than the Israelis showed in this case. We all know that China and Russia would grease this sort of monkeys in a heartbeat, with hellfire missiles, turn them into instant sharkfood and be done with it. So, let's not be hypocritical. For LTM --- I concur with the analysis in the article you posted. Israel in my view acted with valor, courage, and mercy, but a little sloppy under the laws of war at sea. There should have been shots across the bow. At 60 miles out, this could have been done for half and hour with lots of loudhailer work, and flashbang grenades, and 5 inch shells, and 20 mm cannon. Isreal could have communicated with stark and harsh larity that the sea is not a lunatic asylum and that the Israeli Navy are not psychiatric nurses, and that the activists are not patients to be cared for in a special treatment facility. The idea of boarding with a small and not overwhealming contingent of commandos was a bit rash. The paintball guns were absurd. Never bluff. These guys had to ask for permission to lock and load. By the time they got it their situation was so desparate that people needed to be killed. Hamfisted, but valorous, hugely courageous, totally merciful, and with restraint beyond call of duty.

A: I agree with most of what you've posted but expelling Turkey from NATO is a HUGE step. I think that should be avoided. Let's face it we have very few allies anymore and Obama has whizzed on several of them. I heard Hillary today lambasting Israel as though she was talking to Iran and it made me realize this current administration really doesn't have a clue what it means to be an ALLY. We can't be on both sides. There are times when we have to ignore the critics and stand by our allies come hell or high water. It looks like Turkey's leader is banking on a weak U.S. administration. http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.php?n=turkey-launches-a-long-time-diplomatic-war-against-israel-2010-06-01 edit..Woah have you seen this? "ISRAEL CONCERNED TURK NAVY WITH NEXT FLOTILLA" - from Drudge "Dozens of passengers who were aboard the Mavi Marmara Turkish passenger ship are suspected of having connections with global jihad-affiliated terrorist organizations, defense officials said on Tuesday, amid growing concerns that Turkish warships would accompany a future flotilla to the Gaza Strip. http://www.jpost.com/Israel/Article.aspx?id=177169

What compensation should Arabs pay to Israel for their aggression in 1973? by Cruger Y Q: The Arabs tried again in 1973, Egypt and Syria attacked Israel without decflaring war, Nazi´s style. Again Israel in a week drove them off and defeated them completely. But of course, the properties were destroyed and damaged and Isralis were killed. How much should Arabs pay to Israel in reparations and contributions before Israel agrees to any peace talks today?

A: What they should or how they did? Because Arabs compensated Israel with brutality when the bastards should have just left them alone and gave them their land back.

Israel is still training the pilots of Turkeys air force sounds like the terrorists on the boat to me? by bar9018 Q: Israel and Turkey trade often and share in military exercises to fight terror. The Turkish government knows what happened and they are still working with Israel.

A: This was an isolated incident; if Israel really wanted to hurt Turkey in any way, then there would have been more cases of violence besides on 1 out of the 6 boats that were there. I agree that Israel could have avoided killing those men, however, you cannot put your hands on a soldier and expect them to not defend themselves. What I think is that those activists on the boat are so passionate about the Gaza situation that they were actually being violent as a way of protest. Surely Turkey knows this. Also, in times of war, a country can search ships off its waters even if they are in international territory. Israel has caught many ships harboring very descructive materials, there are groups such as Hamas that's sole purpose is the dissolution of any Jewish state. I think this is getting blown out of proportion to arouse further mistrust and/or hatred for the state of Israel.

How can Israel avoid the inevitable overtaking of the jewish population by Arabs? by WuzUp? Q: As I understand it, the Arab reproduction rate exceeds the jews reproduction rate in Israel. If Israel's plan is to import jews, where will they come from? Ethiopia? Or will Israel round up Arabs, put them on trains and send them to camps?

A: Why do you think they are killing off Palestinians and oppressing them. They want to push them out to sea.

israel....? by mallick Q: israel is the land of prophets.....why pakistan does not recognise isarel as a state......while many arab countries have very good relations with israel, there is no reason that pakistan should not recognise as an independent state,,,should pakistan recognise israel.....??????????

A: Because they never fought and, consequently, lost a war to it? ;-) Honestly, the only two Arab countries that have full diplomatic relations with Israel are Egypt and Jordan, both which have repeatedly tried and failed to destroy Israel. Egypt finally agreed to peace under American pressure and in order to get back the territories lost in wars. Fellow Arabs did not like it and banned it from the Arab League for almost two decades. The peace with Jordan is a by-product of the Oslo "peace process". But the relations are not friendly, actually the relations between Egypt and Israel closely resemble the Cold War. No other Arab country recognizes Israel, but some have low-level economic ties. Considering this, why should Pakistan recognize Israel and make enemies in the Arab world? Besides, the Pakistani regime is a very shaky one, under constant pressure from the Islamists and already much criticized because of being (or playing) American ally in the War on Terror. I guess President Musharraf cannot afford alienating more Muslims, inside and outside Pakistan.

*******Israel*******? by Mr Natural - Maranatha! Q: "Israel is the criterion according to which all Jews will tend to be judged. Israel as a Jewish state is an example of the Jewish character, which finds free and concentrated expression within it. Anti-Semitism has deep and historical roots. "Nevertheless, any flaw in Israeli conduct, which initially is cited as anti-Israelism, is likely to be transformed into empirical proof of the validity of anti-Semitism. It would be a tragic irony if the Jewish state, which was intended to solve the problem of anti-Semitism, was to become a factor in the rise of anti-Semitism. Israelis must be aware that the price of their misconduct is paid not only by them but also Jews throughout the world." -- Yehoshafat Harkabi, Israel’s longest serving Director of Military Intelligence in his book Israel's Fateful Hour, 1986 How true is this statement?

A: Israel needs not just a good PR set-up, but an outstanding one, head and shoulders above all the anti-Israel sources. It must be both national and international in origin and participation. The facts must saturate the minds of anti-Semites and their audience. It is only through generations of education and 'brain clarification' that the twisting of facts and language can be overcome.
