Herbalife cons? by i Q: ok so I have this family relative who swears by this product and claims that she is making a lot of money in a week she says that she now has enough clients to continue her business at home..every time i see her she tries to convince me to get into the business and does it by saying that at meetings she sees young girls like myself who make thousands and so on..the thing that stops me from actually getting into this business is for one I'm not into selling stuff two. This product sounds a lil too good to be true three. If this product is so good for you and you can lose weight then why is she still fat? Also i have heard many stories from different people that have taken this product and most complain about gaining all the weight back and extra ...but then again it must be a good product since david beckam is promoting it..haha I'm a sucker for handsome men can u tell?? j/k

A: OK first off: NEVER trust the integrity of the product based on who's promoting it. David Beckham probably has NO idea whether or not the product is safe or effective. He's just paid money to say what they want him to say. Athletes, artists, celebrities, NONE of these people care about the product, they just want the money. I wouldnt trust "doctors" in paid advertisements on TV, either...even real doctors can be taken in by money, and its not hard to pin a nametag on a white jacket and just call yourself a doc, and be paid to read stuff off a cue card. I've heard that Herbalife in general is a scam and not very effective, both as a product, and as a small business venture. If you're not a good salesperson, or don't like doing it, then don't. I tried sales, and I hated it so much because I hated laying pressure on people and trying to expose their weaknesses to make a sale. I wasnt ruthless enough, and I didnt want to be. Your question about "why is she still fat" is a very valid one. Never stop asking questions. Obviously, if Herbalife even does work, it only works if you're motivated enough to do the "rest" of the stuff, ie diet and exercise!! PS you're not the only one who's a sucker for handsome men...when Beckham modeled those Emporio Armani underwear, where he has that bulge in his pants, their sales shot up by several thousand per cent.

Herbalife? by ilove_211 Q: Hello does this method of dieting really work? Is there any body that can tell me if it works or your stories w/the product thanks........

A: For all those uninformed, Herbalife is not a miracle diet pill, it is scientifically based nutrition that feed you body on a cellular level, giving it what it needs allowing all the stored fat to go away. Your body is overweight because we can not get the nutrition we need for today's food sources due to the fact that almost every food you buy in the store is altered in some way to make it grow bigger and faster than it should. When you use the products you will notice energy and that is not from caffeine or effedra none of our products have effedra, and only 3 have caffeine and they are targeted products, I lost 35 lbs in 2.5 months but used the program the way i was taught I still use the products for maintenance because I have learned that is the only way to get what my body needs, my family all use the products and we have not had a Dr visit for over 2 years except for reg. checkups, we use no over the counter meds, all natural stuff. please feel free to contact me for more information. again it is not a miracle diet it is feeding you body what it needs. Formulated by top Dr's. at a research lab at UCLA. These product will change your life

herbalife? by Norahs♥ Q: does it really works on making you lose weight or is it a scam like most of the "lose weight" products?

A: I have looked into herbalife myself but it is ver expensive and doesn't actually tach any healthy eating skills. It would work because of they fact that they control calorie intake but it is just bars and shakes which is really disgusting and boring, imagine eating the same thing day in day out over and over for months ( could you actually do this) till you finally lose the weight then you think, great now I'll just start eating healthy and exercise to maintain weight loss only to realise that you have no idea where to start so you try for a few months and put it all back on plus some cause your back to your old ways but worse, the best programs are those that teach healthy eating as well as giving you a plan and a homa base when you need help, if you want to stop counting calories and just let someone else do it all for you then go with Jenny Craig, they have a variety of food and let you choose the ones that you enjoy ( I had 3meat pies in my menu this fortnight) It is a bit costly at around $250.00 fornight plus the joining fee of between $250 and $549 nut you get half back in 12 months if you get to your goal weight and stay their. Or if you are prepared to do it all yourself then go with weightwatchers and regularly attend the meetings, the weekly meetings are around $20.00 au each with a joining fee of around $40, good luck but really I would stay away from bars n shakes, it's not a way to live a healthy lifestyle and it won't teach you anything.

Herbalife shakes - need help to choose? by ♫ O P ♠♥ Q: So I've started that Herbalife diet. They gave me several pills and Protein Mix drink (shake). I'm doing it now, it's working its way. But the thing: there are some other types of shake (Healthy Meal, Instant Healthy Meal etc). W_h_i_c_h____o_n_e____i_s___r_i_g_h_t_? Or what is the difference? P.S. I need to lose about 10 more pounds; I go to the gym, work out like crazy, watch my diet - so please don't start with the whole "herbalife isn't perfect" thing - it's just about my permanent cravings that I do Herbalife for.

A: the healthy meal is a shake that you mix with milk, and the instant is one that you mix with water, nutritionally they are about the same, just depends if you have access to milk when you want your shake. hope that answers you question, and please contact the person you got your herbalife from with your questions they will be happy to help you, that way you dont get all the bad answers on here. and in my opinion Herbalife is awesome and saves lives everyday through good nutrition.

Can I use Herbalife while pregnant? by Tanna Q: I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant, and was wondering if anyone has used Herbalife while pregnant? Or if it' safe? I have an appt with my doctor, and i'll ask him too, but that's not for another 2 weeks. I was just curios to see if it's safe? I wouldn't replace meals with the shake, just drink it as a snack. And I wouldn't use any supplements, just the shakes for snacking purposes. Thanks!

A: Yes you can use Herbalife during pregnancy as a added supplement. I am 37 weeks pregnant and have used Herbalife from day one i take a formula1shake with herbalife personalised protein in the morning along with an omelette, usual lunch and dinner and the another formula1 shake before bed to keep me full through the night so i don't get up and snack on unhealthy foods. I also use Rose Ox for immune system, Xtra Cal for bones, Multivitamins and Herbalifeline for brain development. My mid-wife told me Herbalife is priceless to pregnant women, its full of nutritions and vitamins to help a healthy baby grow. I have not been sick once since i got pregnant, no sickness tiredness or swelling and its all down to Herbalife as my body is getting all the nutrition it needs i don't have to take any over the counter vitamins either(pregnacare etc..) as Herbalife has everything i need. I would be lost without it:) Also i have not put any actual body weight on as i snack on the Herbalife shakes or protein bars instead of carbs, sweets etc.. only baby bump weight and my doctors are extremly happy with my progress. I hope this helps and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy:) Lauren (using other half's account:)

Definition - The Warm Market & MLM. Herbalife.? by The Honourable Q: Good day. I would like the definition of "the warm market" and secondly, what are the pros and cons of MLM? I am planning to join herbalife as a distributor in the future so before i get into any trouble, i would like to do my homework. Can anyone give me insight as a business person or a herbalife distributor or both? Thanks.

A: Traditional network marketing has this motto: "The money is in the warm-market". Typically when you start out they ask you to list 100-500 names of people you already know. These are friends, family, and co-workers. They refer to this as the Warm Market. Pros of MLM is that it's one of the very few ways that the average person can make a lot of money. Cons of MLM is that it's not easy if you don't know what you're doing. Most people run out of steam or run out of people to tal kto right at the start and get impatient that they dont make money for many months. It's a matter of personal opinion, but I believe traditional network marketing is in the stone-age. We have a lot of technology available to us that would make your life easier. If you're smart to see what building your Herbalife business online can do for you, you will be earning money almost right off the bat. I have a fair bit of experience with network marketing and run an email http://www.ozibillionaire.com?training course to help people make that transition from traditional to modern. May I suggest you read this article which goes into a bit of detail on pros and cons, and things to consider before making the choice to go ahead in MLM. http://ezinearticles.com/?Success-in-USANA,-Herbalife,-or-ACN,-Why-Getting-Rich-Has-Little-To-Do-With-The-Comp-Plan&id=586700 I hope this helps. Have a question about Herbalife........? by Jenn B Q: Was wondering if anyone knows anything about Herbalife... Like if it really works or not to lose weight and keep it off??? THanks!!

A: Herbalife is not a scam or get rich quick scheme it works when you use it correctly it is scientifically based nutrition in the form of shakes and tablets, yes it is pricey to start out, if you consider a meal of about less than $3.00 expensive, it is almost everything you body needs. the products work for me and many of my friends yes some fail because they can not give up their old ways. I tried all the miracle diet pills they don't work, the only thing that does is feeding your body what it needs and the easiest way for me to do that was Herbalife. Feel free to email me with further questions.

Question about Herbalife? by joan mendoza Q: I just started this today. I drink a shake for breakfast [7:00), eat lunch when I get home from school [2:00), and drink another shake for dinner [around 7 or 8.) I was just wondering are there any snacks I could eat in between meals? Like does Herbalife have any snack bars that I could eat during school that WONT SCREW UP MY DIET. Please no rude comments about Herbalife. Thanks, Joan.

A: i started herbalife a few weeks ago and the best way i have found to do it is drink the shake for breakfast and dinner mix some fruit in with it or some ice to make it taste better. I dont know why you are drinking it for breakfast and dinner because thats not how you are suppose to do it, they do have several different items you can get to snack on, if you are only wanting it for a "snack" dont do it get the snack defender pills to take but if you are doing it to replace your lunch then okay but its not going to give you the nutrition you need. Try eating some fruits and fresh veggies for lunch instead but thats simply up to you, i hope you do well with this. Are you on the advanced diet or are you just drinking the shake? I have been getting my herbalife kit on ebay for only 40 bucks! i get the full advanced kit that is usually over 100 bucks. I have lost about 8 pounds since being on this diet for only 2 weeks, the first month if you are on the kit is mostly going to be extra water weight so make sure and drink plenty of water, the cell u loss pill is what helps you get rid of the extra water. Again i wish you the best of luck!

What do you know about Herbalife? by Car-Wash Romance Q: I saw a girl I went to high school with on Facebook who's lost a lot of weight due to Herbalife. Anyone know anything about it?

A: herbalife have alot of different products from vitamins and supplements to natural skin care. Their main weight loss system consists of meal replacement shakes and tablets which contain all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals u need. U replace two meals a day with the shakes, and u eat one meal a day. Most people who encounter problems do so because they didnt follow the basic instructions of drinking plenty of water, and making ur one meal a decent sized balanced meal. Its expensive but it works. I used it 20 years ago and it worked for me and i never had any problems. I imagine its the same now as it was then.

Questions about Herbalife? by Alyssa S Q: I have some questions about the Herbalife weight management program. I am trying to lose 20 pounds. I can't find much info online, does anyone know anything about it? I also want to know if I can order it online. How does it work and is it healthy? How much weight do people lose? Also, my main concern is that we are trying to conceive our first child and I was not sure if Herbalife will decrease our chances of pregnancy or not. Thanks.

A: Be careful with Herbalife, the distributors can be pushy, they earn money from their sales and if they recruit you as a distributor they earn from your sales as well. . MLM at it's worst... "Herbalife distributors can earn additional commissions from sales by their 'downline' distributors." There was a fuss about liver problems a few years ago, but the formula has been changed. Some products do contain caffeine which can cause nervousness, headaches and higher blood pressure. Others contain soy or shellfish and some people can be allergic to either of these. By and large, studies do not provide convincing evidence that Herbalife products produce more weight loss than other products or than a proper placebo. If you are hoping to start a baby why not have a word with your doctor first before starting any regime.

Herbalife??? by *♥*Alexandra*♥* Q: Does that stuff work?? My aunts friend used it and she lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks!! But i want to know that if i stop using it after i get my desired weight will it go rite back on??

A: Ive tried it before because I actually wanted to gain weight. So I drank a shake for a month and actually it worked. Problem is, once I stopped drinking it because I was tired of it, I lost two pounds without even doing anything..it could be me Im not sure..unfortunately, if you don't take care of your weight and stop using herbalife, the weight will come right back on.. p.s.-> if you ever want to do your own diet, DON'T forget to drink water! Good luck! =]

herbalife symptoms?? by GIna Q: I just started using herbalife formula 1 and 3..i find that i am continuously thirsty and my skin feels dry..can anyone who have used this product tell me if this is normal? im drinking a lot of water now than before due to the thirst. my mom who is using the product also experienced the same problem. i also tried to find more information about the nutritional value of the herbalife products and the reasons why it contains such ingredients and how does the ingredients help us loose weight but there was nothing i could find on the internet.all the websites are too general. i went on the HBN network and listened to the Dr. but he said it does not matter what it contains just that it works. For me i disagree because i really want to find out so that i understand what its doing to my body. For example why is there some cholestrol in the product? thank you for your help. from lissa

A: HI Lisa Maybe I can help you. The symptoms you have described are a bit unusual, the first thing I suggest is drinking more water, especially with you shakes. You should be drinking about 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. Definately follow each shake with at least 8 ounces of water. AS for how the ingrediants help you lose weight, thats a simple answer. Your exchanging 2 high calorie, high fat, high sodium, low protien meals for 2 low calorie, low fat, low sodium, high protien, high vitamin meals. Fewer calories, less fat and sodium equals weight loss I would recommend you also order the following Herbalife Products, Formula 2 Multi-vitamin, it is specially formulated to augment your shakes for complete nutrient intake. Additionally I would recommend Aminogen as it helps you break down protien. These recommendations are somewhat generic as I don't know how you are making your shakes or what other foods you are eating. If you contact your Distributer he/she or his/her upline should be able to make more specific recommendations. Another alternative is to contact Herbalife at 866 866-4744 and chose the Distributor Relations Department. I have been a Distributor for over two years and use the products daily according to the directions on the labels. I have had no problems, lost 30 pounds in 2 months and feel great. My success with these products is why I became a distributor. If you are concerned about the ingrediants and safety of the products, let me tell you about my customer Debby. She is 47 years old, suffers from Asthma, MS, Diabetes, a Thyroid Problem and battled lung cancer. Debby asked her doctors about the Herbalife Products as she was concerned about interaction with her medications and various illnesses. Her doctors unamimoius response was "I can tell you if it will help you, BUT it won't hurt you" since starting the products Deb has seen her blood sugar stabilize and avoided the need for insulin, had her asthma and Thyroid medications reduced and beat lung cancer. If you have any more questions or concerns feel free to contact me thru the links on my profile

Has anyone tried selling Herbalife? by asueb77 Q: and if so did it work out for you?

A: Herbalife is not a bad product or a bad company, but If you are seriously interested in benefting others with a really outstandingly good or Yes even great herbal dietary health supplemental beverage product, I know of some links listed below that a lot of people are making a lot of progress with called Tunguska Blast: Check it out here!

What do you know about Herbalife? by Q: is it prescription or over the counter? am I gonna die taking this haha? O_O I'm wondering if anyone has ever taken it, how they felt etc etc.

A: Herbalife is safe, when I did the program I brought everything to the doctor, the shakes, the supplements and was told that it's a safe product. I lost about 70 pounds and wore a bikini for the first time ever. It worked for me, it takes a lot of dedication but once you start seeing the weight come off, it gets easier and easier.

Advise on Herbalife. pls...? by richie Q: Hi. I recently approached by a friend from herbalife to attend their function. I am astonished by their products, which claim that have tremendous effect and advantages to body health. According to them, the products can help you to achieve your body shape that you always dream of, regardless you are now too fat or too thin, and most importantly, it only need a very short period of time. Furthermore, they say the products do cure or help in cancer, asthma, heart diseases, diabetes and so forth, which doctor say it's quite hopeless. Marketing plan I am ok with it. My question is, does anyone know that the products do work? especially to those critical illness? like cancer.. and why? If the products do work, why don'y they found in open market? which easily available in hospitals? Thanks & Best Regards, KS

A: I really love herbalife, I think the products work great. Someone mention that the founder died of a drug overdose, but I do not think so. What happen is that the mother of the founder was the one that died of a drug overdose because she was obsessed with her weight, by that this guy became worried that other people might died for the same consequences and he designed natural products that wouldn't harm the health of the people. They work for health related problems, for my understanding is that it not convenient for hospitals to use this products since the medicines that they use will be loosing profits. My grandpa had cholesterol he use a herbalife product that works to clean the arteries and the doctor was really amazed of the fast improvement that my grandpa had after taking the herbalife product. He does not live in the United States were he lives the herbalife products are known, but they do not have the product he use were he lives. Why? Because it wouldn't be beneficial for the drug businesses! Yes, try to sell the products and if you want use them in order to prove to yourself that they are helpful. Hope this helps!

Would Herbalife work for me? by alexis Q: Looking to lose a significant amount of weight. 40+ lbs. Gained a whole lot of weight, I keep hearing about the wonders of HerbaLife. Is it really all natural? I'm very sensitive to caffeine, could I still take it? I have heard it helps alot with anxiety and depression and just overall makes you feel GREAT, helps with acne as well and gives you energy. I'm 23 have a young son I could sure use the energy :). Can I hear some pros and cons about Herbalife? Also, should I talk about it with my Docter?(If and when I plan on using it) Would like to hear from people with experience!!! Thank You!

A: My niece is an herbalife distributor so i am very familiar with the product. As far as meal replacement shakes go, it is a pretty good choice. It does give you a good balance of nutrition, they taste pretty good and I've seen the results some people have had with it so i can work for weight loss. But honestly, its not a miracle product, its just another meal replacement shake... I cant vouch for anything related to it helping with anxiety and depression, unless its a result of being overweight, then if you are losing weight with the shakes i can see how it can help because of that. And the acne and improved energy, if this is a result of bad eating habits maybe using the shakes can help this as well. But these kind of benefits aren't specifically exclusive to using Herbalife shakes, because just eating better and improving your diet can give you the same benefits so anyone that claims they are is just trying to make money off you in my opinion. Using a meal replacement shake for weight loss can be an effective way to lose weight, because it is an easy way to cut calories without having to work out meal plans and worry about nutrition. They just simplify the process so this is why these type of diets are so popular. And if you stick to the diet you can lose weight. But the problem with these type of diets is that they eliminate the need to deal with meal planning so you dont really change any habits, so if someone needs to learn how to eat in moderation and make healthier choices they wont learn it with this diet. So when they stop dieting and return to thier old habits they may begin to regain the weight. Also, a diet heavily dependent on meal replacements can become hard to stick to for some people for long periods because its just not a natural way of eating. Also, i think its a bit pricey.... if you are intending on using it for an extended period of time it will end up costing you alot. If you can afford it and want to try it, its not a bad option, just dont delude yourself believing its the miracle solution to all your problems. If you are going to try it, i'd recommend you use it as part of your diet to help you cut calories and provide balance nutrition, but dont depend on it entirely. You should try to also continue to develop healthier eating habits, practice eating in moderation and make the life style changes you will need to be able to maintain your weight loss results. And dont let the herbalife distributors sell you any bridges.....itsgood, but its not the cure-all they claim it to be.

Have you tried herbalife ? ? by Mercedes Q: I'm thinking about using it, my mother said she got good results. What were your results. In weight but tell me how much you lost in inches and in how much time. DON'T leave a rude comment or tell me what to do or tell me about other weight loss products or anything. I want personal experiences.

A: With my own experience >> I am using it and I've lost so many kgs and inches ;) it's a miracle. so many people noticing me and asking me what's my secret ;) I just need to tell them, Herbalife! Thanks and credits to Herbalife :) No side effects but you can notice that your health improves as well as your eating habit changes to better .. I lost 6 kgs till today and still losing. I enjoy consuming the shakes in Chocolate flavour. I can wear all my favourite clothes and lost a size. My t-shirts are from M to S. my pants from L to M .. I am satisfied with this Herbalife and it really changed my life to have a healthy living lifestyle.

does herbalife really make you fit? by joshva17 Q: My friends told me that herbalife shake can make you loose 10pounds a week, is it true?

A: The Herbalife products are formulated with the goal to achieve good bodily health, not just weight loss. The makers claim that weight loss is a positive byproduct of the overall health achieved through using the product. Claims have been made by users that Herbalife helped them with ailments ranging from acid reflux to chronic fatigue syndrome. Herbalife weight loss works by substituting regular meals with various flavored protein shakes. The three meals of the day are made up of one regular healthy meal a day and two shakes. There are protein-based snacks and vitamin supplements that are used in combination with the shakes to supposedly raise metabolism and control hunger. The price of the plan can be a turnoff for many. The average price for a month supply of the Herbalife weight loss plan ranges from approximately $150 US Dollars (USD) and up. For those seeking a cheap way to lose weight, this price tag can appear staggering. It should be taken into consideration that this product will substitute for two thirds or more of the regular food products that an individual consumes, so the cost may not be as severe as it appears at first glance. Reports of how well Herbalife weight loss works are varied. Many users claim huge successes, while others throw around terms like "scam." The greater majority of reports from those who continued with the program indefinitely are positive, claiming that the overall health of users was improved and healthy weight loss was achieved and maintained. As with any weight loss program, users encourage those on an Herbalife weight loss plan to look at the change in eating habits as a lifestyle change. The weight loss only seems to be completely maintainable when continuing the use of the product past the point of achieving the loss. Once the body has adjusted to consuming shakes as the primary form of nutrition, it is difficult for most to transition into eating standard food without gaining the weight back. Many find it difficult to continue purchasing and drinking shakes for the remainder of their weight loss maintenance phase, which is certainly a consideration to make before beginning the plan.

Has anyone ever tried Herbalife? by kb Q: and if you have did it work? Is it worth the money? Would you recommend it to others compared to other diets out there? Please Help

A: Herbalife is a pretty cool system. I like it because you can take as many or as little products as you want. There are certain "core products" that promote weight loss. Those are great to start with and actually pretty affordable. Comes out to like $4 a day (that covers your breakfast and lunch)... So not bad. There are also lots of health supplements that support cellular wellness, etc. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to help point you in the right direction! Hope this helped! -Lindsay [email protected]

Herbalife anxiety pills do they work? by ♥PR1NC3S1TA♥ Q: Has anyone tried those herbalife anxiety pills? I red they are good to help you if u have anxiety, I'm on therapy as well but this pills could be a big help. Just wondering if anyone has tried them.

A: Herbalife is junk and you should avoid it. If you read it was great stuff and really works, you were reading advertising. In case you're not familiar with internet guerilla advertising, follow the links below and read about supplement scams. Herbalife has been involved in many health problems. Here are some examples. Example 1: "Severe hepatotoxicity following ingestion of Herbalife nutritional supplements contaminated with Bacillus subtilis." Ref: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19010564 Example 2: "An association between intake of Herbalife products and acute hepatitis was identified in Israel. We call for prospective evaluation of Herbalife products for possible hepatotoxicity." Ref: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17692424 Example 3: "Hepatotoxicity is probably associated with the use of Herbalife products. Hepatotoxicity due to herbal remedies is an important differential diagnosis in the diagnostic work-up of liver injury." Ref: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20197595 Herbalife is sold as a supplement and supplements are not approved by the FDA, are virtually unregulated, do not have the protections afforded foods and drugs, are not recommended by the US National Institute of Health, do not require any testing, are often contaminated, may not even be what the label says, usually contain cheap ingredients, are often over priced scams, have been known to be dangerous, and can have numerous adverse or unwanted side effects. And, because Herbalife is only a crutch for healthy options, it should be avoided. Do the anxiety pills work. No! The only antianxiety substances that really work are prescription drugs like diazapine derivatives....Valium, Xanax, etc. If you have anxiety issues you should discuss pharmaceutical options with your doctor. Otherwise, eat healthy, get ample sleep, stop all stimulants including caffeine, and get fit...exercise plenty. Of course you can also try alternative therapies including hypnosis (auto & hetero), meditation, visualization, biofeedback, etc. Good luck and good health!! ♠

Where can I buy herbalife liftoff? by Kevin Q: i was wondering if i could buy it at a drug store or a vitamin shop or something. do they sell it there. i live in the US. no online answers please i just want to purchase it in person.

A: You have to buy it from a Herbalife dealer. Herbalife is a multi level marketing program that focuses more on profit than actual nutrition. I know several people that have tried Herbalife, Isagenix, Nanci, Nutrilite, Healthy People, and Advocare weight loss supplements. They all weigh the same or more than when they tried them. And ended up with a bunch of product. Alli is the only over the counter weight loss product approved by the FDA. There are only three prescription weight loss medications approved. Do you think that if any of them REALLY worked we would have a $60 billion a year industry in "weight loss" supplements? The big three pharmaceuticals would dominate the market. Approved or otherwise, none of these weight loss supplements guarantee anything unless you establish a healthy diet and exercise program. So why not just establish a healthy diet and exercise program and keep your money? The only weight loss supplement I recommend is a basic multivitamin and maybe a fish oil if you don't like fish. You will be spending somewhere between $10 and $30 per day on products that are not approved or guaranteed to do anything. $300 to $900 per month would get you a premier spa membership and the positive feeling that comes from working out and feeling healthier. All of the above mentioned diet products are "multi level marketing" or "work from home" programs. I think these products are the worst since they exploit both the desires of people to lose weight and to make money. I live in a very nice area of Scottsdale, AZ. 90% of the "make money from home" signs along the roadways are Herbalife when you call and press them for information. These companies are more concerned with profits than weight loss. As are all the MLMs.

is Herbalife for real? by ishie_fuentes Q: I just started on the Shapeworks... i am concern because I am used to a diet of at least 6 small portions a day. This I have definitely proven to work in helping speed up your metabolism. Now I am trying to find out what effects and other infos on Herbalife. and also because I am a gym fanatic and I find myself not as strong as i used to and also working out feeling really hungry since the shake only has 170 cal. per serving. I hope someone out there can enlighten me. I also have concluded that it also seems to be like a starvation diet but with the vitamins and minerals that your body needs. What will happen if you stop taking it already? Please help me. tahnks!!!

A: It's a gimmick like anything else out there. If you aren't feeling as strong and you aren't taking in as many calories as you were before, you need to return to what was working for you. If it's vitamins and minerals you're looking for, the 6 small portions should have sufficed for most of your needs. If you weren't feeling run-down before you started this Herbalife crap, then I would say your previous diet was working well for you. Go back to it and look in the vitamin aisle for a good supplement. I take One-A-Day and also do the 6 small portions a day. I have maintained a healthy weight for over 2 years now doing this. WebMD says that Herbalife has been linked to brain disorders. Check the link: http://www.webmd.com/balance/news/20020610/herbalife-diet-linked-to-brain-ailment

Has anyone used Herbalife? by russian_girl Q: please tell me your opinion and which products are best for weight loss and hunger control.

A: Hi! I actually am currently an Herbalife Distributor and would love to answer any questions that you may have! I had great results with the products as well as several family members who did as well, that is why I decided to begin selling them. I know some people on here said that they tried it several years ago. The products Herbalife offer today are very different than those offered years ago. My mom tried Herbalife in the late 80's and hated it! She is on it now, and absolutely loves it. As with anything, the products have been refined and changed over time to initiate healthier and better results. As for weight loss products and hunger control, there are lots of options, but it's really based on your individual needs. I don't like telling people a big long list of things to take, when truthfully not everybody needs every product. If you'd like more information I'd love to help! Just shoot me an email: [email protected] Hope this helped! -Lindsay

Has anyone ever heard of Herbalife? by this_girl. Q: Its this weight loss system that helps you eat healthier and at the same time it helps you lose weight. but i was just wondering if there are people out there, other than the person try to sale it to me, that have tried this product and got the results they were looking for.

A: It's a nutritional shakes which helps you to lose weight by making your calories intake lower and thus at the same time burns your fat, I am using it and I've lost so many kgs and inches ;) it's a miracle. so many people noticing me and asking me what's my secret ;) I just need to tell them, Herbalife! Thanks and credits to Herbalife :) Nopes, no side effects but you can notice that your health improves as well as your eating habit changes to better .. Okay I’m sharing with you my own experience .. Actually I consume Herbalife every morning and night, means I replace both my meals and follow it strictly. I take 4 scoops of F1 and 2 scoops of F3 per shake with 400ml of water, which means, 8 F1 and 4 F3 per day. I lost 1kg for the first week. It's just that you must take your shakes well and no cheatings like snacking or eating in between your 3 main meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner. You will feel hungry as your eating style for your shake is not right, that's all. I didn't feel hungry at all or have the intentions to cheat and eat when I am hungry. If at all I feel hungry, I eat fruits, that's all. It's just as simple as that. I lost weight with the normal products which you all consume too, the F1, F3 and teamix. I drink 1 litre of tea per day, means 3 to 4 servings per day (250ml per time). You also must remember that when you make your shake, if you add soya or anything to it, you are actually going to add in more calories and sugar into your meal. So try to avoid this kind of things in your diet :) Anyway, it's just as simple as A-B-C. Take care and all the best :)

Does HerbaLife actually work? by »»»EdMan««« Q: Alright, I'm a 19 year old Chicano (Mexican-American). I'm 5"5.5' tall & I weigh around 226LBS. My doctor said that I'm overweight, that by my age & my height, I should weight around 150LBS. Like I'm fat around everywhere, just that my stomach just hangs out, but I really want to lose that. I went to my cousin's house once, and he said that to help me lose weight I should take HerbaLife. Then he gave a bottle full of Multi-Vitamins & Powder Shake (Strawberry Flavor) to help me lose weight (they both from HerbaLife). I was wondering if HerbaLife actually does work because I really want to lose weight. So, does HerbaLife actually work or not? If so, do I have to do anything to help HerbaLife work? P.S: I want honest & mature answers, nothing childish nor sarcastic (e.g: "oh. you're extremely fat."; "ummm.... no, it does not. DUH!!!!" (or vice versa); "you need to exercise... DUH!!!!"; etc.), please. Thank You!

A: Herbalife will work if you follow the suggested steps. You should take your vitamins and supplements 3 times a day, drink 2 shakes a day, eat one meal with lots of vegetables, and snack on protein snacks when you feel hungry throughout the day. Herbalife Diet works by reducing your calorie intake, and giving your body the nutrients it needs in the formulated shake mixes and the various vitamins and supplements. Sorry, I know you don't want to hear it, but you do need to exercise as well, which would help speed up your weight loss. I have a customer who lost a lot of weight using Herbalife and you should check out her story: http://www.herbalforless.com/herbalife-success-stories.html Good luck to you!

Herbalife questions? Are their products safe? by Diana Q: Hi if anyone knows, has any information or has used Herbalife in the past i would really like to know if their products are effective. I have been trying to lose weight and so far the process is really slow and im looking for help not a quick fix and more of a jump start. I have been researching products and this company Herbalife came up, im just wondering are their products effective or safe? i dont want to take anything without knowing a little more about what i may be consuming. Any information is great.

A: Herbalife has been involved in many health problems. Good luck and good health!! ♠

Herbalife company...? by ϑennaß Q: Good or bad investment? I have seen success stories and just as many bad ones... Is it a scam or what?

A: I don't personally have experience with this company. It is a network marketing company and many people have had bad experiences with that, and many have not. I'm in a company that is a network marketing company, and I'm having quite a bit of success. A few years back, I was in a different network marketing company, and I lost a bit of money. What is the difference between that company and the one I'm in now? I didn't really believe or care about the product in my first company. This time around, I truly believe in the products and the company. Because of my passion for it, doing the parties and recruiting people has been fairly easy. My biggest piece of advice for anyone considering any MLM or network marketing company is to choose one that has a product that you are passionate about. You can make money in any of the companies, and there are some very good ones out there. The key to making money is to be passionate about what you are doing. You can find a MLM company for just about any product, so do some research and find one that fits *you*. Is Herbalife good? Well, that all depends on how you answer these questions? Are you passionate about the Herbalife products? Are you passionate about nutrition and wellness and supplements? If so, then Herbalife may be the company for you. If not, then network marketing may still be right for you, but you just need to do a little more research. I've been with my company for about 16 months now, and have made it to the top leadership level - top 2 percent of the company. With my previous company, I couldn't get anyone to buy or join. My final tip is that when you do find the company/product that you believe in, then search around for the right sponsor. Find someone who is as successful as you want to be - they will be able to coach you to that kind of success too. When I joined my company, I searched out someone at the top, instead of signing up with someone who was new, or just close by me. I do this full time, and I needed someone who already knew how to rise to the top. It has made all the difference. Best wishes to you! Questions about Herbalife? by couturegirl. Q: Hi! I'm interested in doing the Herbalife program, but I have some question that I'd like a distributor to answer for me : - When using the Herbalife products, do any of them have caffeine? Most of the diet things they sell now have a lot of caffiene in them. & If some products do have caffiene, which ones? - Is it safe for a 16 year old to use Herbalife? I know someone who is interested. - How long does it take to see results when using Herbalife as instructed correctly? Thanks!! :) I hope you can answer my questions.

A: Hie there Caroline :) Wow! We carry the same name ;) but surely not same surname .. Hehehe .. To answer to your question .. 1) I am not sure about other products which have caffeine in it, but I know that the Teamix has caffeine contents in it. You can call up Herbalife and check with them. They will surely help you .. 2) Yes, it is safe for small childrens who are obese too as I've seen a few of them here consuming Herbalife due to the obesity in young age. So it is still safe for a 16 year old to consume .. 3) Anyway, it depends on the individual on the results depending on their metabolic rate as well as their body's muscle mass as this plays very important role in losing weight. Somehow, you could actually see the results within 2 weeks and if you are not satisfied with the products, it's 30days money back guaranteed. I got the results after one month due to my low metabolic rate .. I am satisfied and still losing all those unwanted fats and kgs :) Hope I've answered to all your questions and all the best in trying and consuming Herbalife :) Hope you will get what you always wanted ..

after i drink a herbalife shake what can i eat if i get hungry? by Karina Q: I just started doing the herbalife diet and im drinking 2 a day and eating 1 meal . the first one I drink is in the morning for breakfast. after 3 hours of so I get hungry. what can I eat? can I eat fruit, toast , gum??

A: Herbalife is terrible junk so you should stop using it and start eating food. The Herbalife way, you'll just waste money and regain your fat. It's important to understand why you got the fat you want to lose and then habituate good and proper eating habits so you will not only lose it, but you will keep it off as well. When you lose fat, you weigh less and, hence, burn fewer calories. Your BMR will be lower so you'll have to eat less on maintenance than when you were heavier. And, losing the fat is only the beginning. Once fat is lost, you have to keep it off for the rest of your life and that may include such difficulties as the "Freshman 15", college drinking culture, soirées and social drinking, pregnancy, somatopause (age-related slowing metabolism), a more sedentary lifestyle, affluence and access to more expensive, tasty, and fattening meals, etc. This truth is born out by the fact that 3 out of 4 adult Americans are overweight or obese. That's means only 1 in 4 adult Americans has a healthy weight. (See: http://www.obesityinamerica.org/statistics/index.cfm ). It only gets more difficult to stay slim as the years roll by. It never gets easier. So, now is the time to establish good eating habits...the kind that will keep you svelte and fit in the days ahead and for the rest of your life. herbalife? by Rican Q: has anyone ever used herbalife? if so how was it? is it really good for ur health and loosing weight? any ifo would be great!

A: My husband had great results..he lost 25 pounds the first month. I, on the other hand, did not have the same results. I only lost 8 pounds in 2 months..I could have done that without the expense that came along with the diet plan. Taking so many pills, tablets, and vitamins every day made me feel nauseous. And their fat blockers had the same effect on me as the negative effects as Alli. (I would have "accidents", and yet my herbalife rep advised me to keep taking them)... Once you go off the diet, you gain the weight back. You could, of course, drink those shakes for 1 meal replacement for the rest of your life.. Save your money, eat a well-balanced, low calorie diet and exercise.

How fast can i lose weight on herbalife? by Melissa Q: I started dieting by doing herbalife. 2 shakes a day and dinner. I also have been working out on top of it...... I. Currently weigh 321 lbs and am looking to lose at least 170 lbs to be at a healthy weight. I have never been this heavy. I gained a bunch of weight due to the stress of my last relationship which ended in October. How fast will the weight come off? Has anybody had good results doing this?

has anyone try herbalife product? by missus Q: does it really work?or hv some side effect?i am planning to take it start next month..so plz give me ur opinion or experience..tq

A: I used to take it for a few years (with breaks) and was very happy. I got rid of psoriasis and lost some fat even if I didn't plan to. I think it's excellent, though you must be committed to it. My mum lost 18kg and was very happy too. Mum is a doctor and she was recommending it to her patients as well who would always come back for advice and were happy too. There are no side effects, what can really happen is that your body will detoxify-it will get rid of toxins and this might be associated with some discomfort. Many people stop eating herbalife products when they start having detoxification because they think it doesn't work and it makes them feel worse. We must remember that out bodies are full of toxins and by eating Herbalife these will want to leave your body, be patient, they are temporal and will disappear sooner or later. Make sure you have your Herbalife advisor at hand so you can discuss with him/her.

what business is better monavie or herbalife? by Piccaso Q:

A: Herbalife products are very expensive and Distributers are so brainwashed into believing that the products are fior everybody, they don't see or accept any of the negatives about it. fact - Herbalife is Expensive fact - To sell Herbalife, you need to be VERY good at sales facty - to get any proper support in Herbalife, you need to pay to attend seminars, pay about £40 per month for the BIG website. Herbalife is good IF your sponsor works closely with you and you are also experienced / skilled at sales, if not then forget it.

Has anyone ever taken herbalife? by Cham Q: Im interested in learning more about it. I need to lose about 60-70 lbs but have tried everything, even just regular exercise & eating healthy. Does it work? Im also wondering about ingredients in the allergen free shake, i think fructose & oat bran are listed are those bad? Also any future side effects?

A: I had herbalife one time and went through the list of ingredients (with a food chemist) If you want to lose weight with something healthy it is not the best choice as it has additives and ingredients most people don't even know what they are. I have been to a herbalife meeting after struggling with an eating disorder but suddenly gaining water weight. A woman there suggested I take it to lose weight though 3 month before the meeting I was less than 80lbs. Herbalife is about money and the people selling it have no clue about nutrition. I have later studied nutrition and everything they talk about is to get their business growing. I mean who would tell someone who recently was underweight a few weeks later to take this new product to lose weight again. Plus someone else told me they are part of scientology. A friend who knew someone taking it told me that those people have really bad breath!! A sign of bacteria and inflammation. I hope you find the right way for you to lose weight.

Herbalife Shakes? Taste really bad? by xOcrazylilstarOx Q: I started herbalife yesterday and I was very unhappy. The shakes are soo nasty I have the French vanilla and I can't even drink the whole cup. Is there any recipes to make the shake taste good. I tried it with low fat milk and 2 tbs of the formula 1. Thanks in advance.

A: Thats why i use shakeology, Herbalife Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix and Shakeology meal replacement shake have both similarities and differences in their ingredients.  Both are designed to be used in place of your regular meal, and offer a variety of nutrients and essential vitamins and minerals for optimum health and help individuals reach their weight loss goals.  If you’re not sure whether you should begin using Shakeology or Herbalife meal replacement drinks in your personal weight loss plan, here is some information to help you decide: Ingredient Comparison: Herbalife and Shakeology Herbalife – made with antioxidant vitamins C and E as part of over 20 vitamins, minerals and essential nutrients, Herbalife offers a healthy meal in a glass.  Along with 9 grams of protein and fiber per serving, Herbalife contains Aminogen(r) and bromelain and papain, all known to support the digestion of protein to make sure your body puts those 9 grams of protein per serving to use!  Herbalife offers a variety of different flavors so you can choose your favorites or keep a variety of meal replacement shakes on hand for a more interesting menu.  Choose from vanilla, chocolate, berry, fruit, coffee and others.Shakeology – features ingredients from all over the world and more than 70 whole food ingredients per serving.  The vitamins and minerals in every serving are absorbed by your body at optimum levels due to the phytonutrients, prebiotics and digestive enzymes in every serving, too.  Shakeology comes in two primary flavors of greenberry and chocolate. Nutrition Fact Comparison To really understand what you’re putting in your body, you should always look at the nutrition label.  When considering one product over another, it’s a good idea to compare each of the nutrients with the same nutrient from the product you’re comparing.  If considering weight loss products like Herbalife and Shakeology, here are the most important nutrition facts to compare (these are for product only and do not include the milk or soy milk you may use to create your shake):Calories:Shakeology:  140Herbalife: 90Cholesterol:Shakeology: 15mgHerbalife: 0Sodium:Shakeology: 100mgHerbalife: 140mgCarbohydrates/ Fiber:Shakeology: 3gHerbalife: 3gCarbohydrates/Sugar:Shakeology: 9gHerbalife: 9gProtein:Shakeology: 17gHerbalife: 9g Shakeology or Herbalife Based on nutrient facts, if you have problems with cholesterol, you may be better off choosing Herbalife as a meal replacement shake, since it offers a shake that is cholesterol-free.  On the other hand, protein is an essential ingredient for successful weight loss, and Shakeology has larger amounts of protein per serving in addition to amino acids and enzymes which help your body absorb as much protein as possible.  Shakeology is a product which can be used long after you reach your weight loss goals, as a daily nutritional supplement to ensure you are receiving all of the essential vitamins and minerals your body needs to remain as healthy as possible, so some people decide using Shakeology as a meal replacement shake during weight loss and then continuing it as a daily supplement is a good way to reach health goals.

The truth about herbalife? by lollipop Q: Recently I started drinking Herbalife products and I have told a number of people. I had some comments about it some people said it works and they love it and other said that it is dangerous and bad for you. What is your opinion on it? Well im taking it because I'm trying to loose about 20 pounds.

A: Herbalife products are safe. The products are soy-based. I have seen ppl that have been taking herbalife for years and no side effects or what so ever except they got rid of extra weight. I have been taking Herbalife for the past 5 months myself. After 3 months, I loss 12kg (approx. 26 lbs). I am aware of claims that Herbalife products are dangerous. But there are no concrete evidence I could find on this claims so far. If it's true then I would like to see Herbalife products banned by the FDA or other countries that approved the product for sale in their country. Otherwise, I will stand on my point that the products are safe. The fact that the founder of the company died in 2000 has nothing to do with the products. He died from a drug overdose. Herbalife also sponsored several athletes for the 2008 Beijing olympic. I don't see how they could sponsor these athletes if it is really that harmful.

What are the benefits of herbalife? by Nicky Q: Herbal Aloe Concentrate, Nutritional Shake Mix and Personalised Protein Powder. <- They are the products that my mum has. Can you please tell me ALL the benefits , if you do know? Thank you so much!! (:

A: The only benefits Herbalife has over a proper diet of high quality foods is the profit the products bring to the makers of Herbalife. You and our mother should avoid supplements and learn how to eat right. Dietary supplements do not have to conform to the stringent standards applied to pharmaceuticals or food products by the US FDA. The result of this absence of oversight has been a scammer's dream and the scammers have made the most of it. A huge and powerful supplement industry has grown up around this lack of government oversight which was designed to give people the freedom to explore homeopathic, naturopathic, and alternative remedies. That was the purpose of the 1994 DSHEA. Details are here --> http://www.fda.gov/food/dietarysupplements/consumerinformation/ucm110417.htm Here's how the scammers work. They flood the internet with ads, bogus reviews, fake articles, fraudulent scientific white papers, phony blogs, scam articles, and even scam stories designed to expose the competition while promoting their products as the only "real" supplement that works. Their strategy is to drown out the truth and dominate the search engines so no matter where you look on the web you'll find only good things about their products. Check out this link about the big Shakeology scam ---> http://trek2befit.com/shakeology-scam . Did you notice how it's really just an ad for Shakeology. The reason you find it when you search for "Shakeology scam" is because they want to be everywhere you're looking with advertising. That's how scammers dominate the internet. Watch this investigative report from CBS News to see how one scammer works. --> http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5196740n&tag=related;photovideo (you'll have to sit through a quick commercial message first). Scammers target the young and credulous demographic because they know they can sway them with greater ease than the older, wiser buying public. But, there are some easy questions you can answer using simple logic to be able to qualify a scammer as suspect. Here are some examples. • If there was an easy way to do hard things like burn fat or build muscle, why doesn't the whole world know about it? How could that be kept secret when that's what so many people desire? • If there were supplements that could help burn fat or build muscle, why haven't the huge and powerful pharmaceutical companies taken them over? Why let the scammers like GNC and Weider continue to make $millions off the public when they have a much greater capacity for providing such products? • If there was a supplement that helped people shed pounds, why doesn't your doctor know about it? If you're overweight, why doesn't your physician just give you the pill or recommend the acai or HCG diet or whatever? Why are physicians always telling the same story about obesity and how to cope with it? • Why do people pay big bucks to have liposuction or stomach stapling if supplements could really help them to lose fat? • If protein supplements, creatine, nitrous oxide, etc. really helped build lean muscle mass, why don't Olympic athletes use them? Why don't they feed them to our military personnel in boot camp or billets around the world? Why are they not used in every police department or correctional institution around the US? Why don't the scammers tell you their success stories? You will never see an endorsement of a supplement from the military. You will, however, find many military articles warning their people away from such trickery. Here's one example --> http://military-fitness.military.com/2011/03/sneaky-muscle-supplement-scams.html There is only one good answer to all of these questions. Most of the supplements which are supposed to make you lose fat, add muscle, grow taller, kill appetite, gain weight, bulk up, get ripped, etc. just don't work. It's really that simple. Check out this list of over 60 dangerous supplements products sold with bogus advertising claims which scam-site bodybuilding.com was forced to recall and take off the market --> http://www.usrecallnews.com/2009/11/bodybuilding-com-supplements-recalled-may-contain-steroids.html . Does the human race really need 60 supplements just for muscle building and thousands of other supplements for other things? Can 100,000 years of evolution and eating food really be that wrong? When surfing the web for supplements, be skeptical, use critical thinking, and always validate your information before believing it to be true. The golden rule for intelligent consumerism is still... If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably a scam. Last but not least, read this --> http://www.cspinet.org/nah/09_07/mfj_supplement.pdf Good luck and good health. ♠

What is Herbalife Philippines Danny Ong scam syndicate ? by Dso1ph Q: Danny Ong fake capsule scam

A: Herbalife truly is a company gone international with distributors in 65 countries. Don't let this figure fool you into not investigating the truths surrounding the Herbalife scam. The Herbalife scam is real and what follows is a quick summary of why you might want to avoid this company. A) All Scams Have Their Beginnings Founded in 1980 by Mark Hughes (who died at the young age of 44, was an avid consumer of his own products and whose dead body was found with substantial levels of alcohol and sleeping pills), Herbalife is now over 25 years old and boasts 1.5 million distributors in 65 countries. Well, that statistic is proof that the company's promises of unlimited earning potential and world class nutritional and supplemental products certainly grabs the attention of potential prospects. But what happens to most of these prospects once they become distributors? B) Sucking You Dry It wouldn't be right to ignore the positive attributes of the company while touting a Herbalife scam, so here are some good things: Low startup costs - around $108 for the standard opportunity pack, $78 or so for the mini-pack Minimal risks No experience necessary (this attribute sells a lot of people on Herbalife) Now, the above costs are not much. However, once you become an independent distributor you will be bombarded by your sponsor to buy thousands of dollars worth of products in your first month or two under the basic premise that you'll be in profit within only a couple of weeks due to the enormous demand for the company products, no problem. Wrong, there is a big problem. According to Herbalife corporate, the average distributor's 2006 earnings per month was $5,100, and from what I have heard recently that figure is expected to drop for 2007. I feel that this is a decent average to report, however, let's take a look at the following: Close to only 1% of Herbalife distributors are responsible for earning over 85% of the company's wealth - that means near 99% of the company is fighting for the remaining 15% of sales that make up the billion dollar Herbalife empire These are not the percentages you want to see when considering a multi-level marketing company. Additionally: Herbalife products, on average, are sold at 30% more than the very same product with the very same ingredients, only with a different name, at most nutritional stores What does this mean? It means supply and demand go out the window and so does your invested money. Nobody is going to pay the lopsided prices the company dictates unless they are not aware of the many competitive, cheaper products out there. As a result, you won't be making many sales. C) The Larger Picture Although me and many others out there believe the Herbalife scam is real, I will admit that the compensation plan is fairly rewarding. It is rewarding for those who along with the people they sign up can sell massive volumes of product in order to make up for the small profit on each individual product. For anyone not interested in the Herbalife scam, try to find a company that rewards you for your sales immediately, without having to pass up any to your sponsor. Lightning Quick Financial Success The Herbalife scam is real, avoid it like the plague. Regardless of which products or programs you decide to promote, the number one key to phenomenal financial success online is mastering effective marketing strategies. A mentor can help you to do this, so always be on the lookout for one. Once you know how to market effectively and believe in the product you are marketing, you will absolutely succeed!

Herbalife?? by *♥*Alexandra*♥* Q: My cousin lost 3 pants sizes in 1 week!! I want 2 know if this works.. Because im afraid if i use it then stop, ill gain it back and MORE.. So does it work?? Nd i tried the aloe then the cookies nd cream milkshake.. it was ok.. not totally Nasty.. so i was wondering if this really worked so i can buy it..

A: Herbalife makes half decent products and they are pretty effective. But if you don't change your habbits then you will put the weight back on. Permenant weight loss if a lifestyle change not the result of any diet or products. Plus any weight loss you do, reguardless of how you do it or what you use, you need to stay on that program for a while. Normally at least 60 days plus another 30 days for every 10 pounds if you lost over 50 pounds. The reason is you need to allow your body to lock in on your new weight and motabolism levels. If not you will go back up.

What is Herbalife scam ? by bonifaciobilongilot Q:

A: Herbalife is a multi-level marketing company hawking products such as their own brand of "vitamins, herbs, diet drugs, etc." none of which to my understanding has ever been approved by the FDA. "...during the 1980s, Hughes (founder) battled the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the California attorney general's office over the way the company's products were marketed. Regulators contended the company was making medicinal claims. Medicines are regulated by the FDA, while nutritional supplements are not....Hughes reached settlements with the regulatory agencies in 1986, including paying $850,000 to settle California regulators' claims." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/herbalife-founder-dead-at-44-716039.html It is much like Amway, where you really want to sign up other people and get paid on each sign up and subsequent sales. Few actually make it. The founder of the company, Mark Hughes died in 2000 of an accidental overdose after mixing alcohol with a "toxic level" of antidepressants. http://archives.cnn.com/2000/US/06/17/hughes.death/ Company's website: http://company.herbalife.com/our-history/our-founder

Herbalife????????????????? by It's MEEEE!!!! Q: Has anyone her every taking it . If so did you lose weight and did you have any side affects?

A: Yes I tried something called the Formula 1 Instant, and I lost 15 pounds in 3-4 weeks. The stuff Herbalife has is supposed to be meal-replacement shakes for breakfast and lunch. When on the plan you should try not to have regular fatty foods at the same time. Each Shapeworks program lasts 30 days, so when you calculate it it comes to about less than $3 per meal. You're only wasting money if you are on regular foods and Herbalife at the same time! I also disagree with the first poster. After Herbalife when you eat "normal" you don't automatically gain the weight back (unless you want to). The point of Herbalife is to help people lose the weight they want to lose. When they reach a plateau, they have an option to continue with Herbalife to maintain their weight, or to eat regular *lean* foods to keep the weight down. There's just so few lean and healthy options these days that I am having Herbalife shake for my lunch everyday. Distributors are there to help you plan your progress. Yes they will try to make money because they want to help you and provide guidance. Or if you don't want coaching, you can just go to some vitamin shop or gnc and try those stuff; nobody will answer your questions in case you don't lose any weight.

Herbalife? by Julie Q: Has anyone ever heard of this? I just wanted some information, or see if anyone has tried it. I want to loose about 50 pounds and this seems like a good way to get started. I just wonder if it is hard to drink 2 shakes a day and then 1 full meal. Has anyone tried it?

A: Here are the facts. - One of the reasons that people put on weight is due to lack of nutrition in our body. We may eat a wide variety of food or have low carbs meals, but if the nutrients in the food is not fully absorbed by our body, it is as good as not having eaten. - With balanced nutrition, our body will not store additional fat. - Herbalife products are formulated by renowned doctors to provide a balanced nutrition in a cup. It is specially created to be a drink for easy absorption. - For a start, drinking 2 shakes a day will need some getting used to. The easy solution is to make it tasty. If you need some recipes, let me know. - You do not need to depend on it for life as mentioned by some but you do need to stay on the program for a period of time. It requires a period to slim down and another period to stay the same. After which, you can watch what you eat or simply take Herbalife once a day as supplement but not as a meal. Its not just about slimming, its about getting your body back into good shape. Forget about the money if you think about the benefits you can get from being a healthier you. I know because I have benefited from the products and have continue to enjoy being healthy till now. Its been almost 4 years now.

Herbalife? by Melissa S Q: Okay so i was thinknig about using Herbalife. but I can only afford 1 month of it. does anyone know what happens if i stop using it? because its suppose to be something you use your whole life.

A: Yes herbalife works for some - me - i only use the meal replacement (shake) - i've lost 8 lbs in eight weeks and don't always replace 2 meals, sometimes 1 meal sometimes 2 meals and if it doesn't fit into my day i don't have a shake/use the herbalife product. I've not gained any weight back during this experience. And I eat what i want to eat - I make sure to choose healthy alternatives most of the time. It will help you lose the weight, and it they recommend using to maintain weight loss. But if you also change your life style so you are eating healthy foods, smaller portions, drinking lots of water and get plenty of excerise - you don't need to be a herbalife customer all your life. Yes i lost weight before with herbalife - but then i had 2 kids and an unhealthy diet after they were born that caused me to gain weight. I did'nt gain weight because i quit herbalife.

Has anyone heard of Herbalife? by world_peace_50 Q:

A: Herbalife Ltd. said Wednesday that it would move its U.S. headquarters to downtown Los Angeles from Century City in 2008, giving a boost to downtown and the L.A. Live project. The maker of nutritional supplements and weight management products will be one of the anchor tenants in an office building at L.A. Live, the $2.5-billion sports, entertainment and residential complex being constructed next to Staples Center. The lease, for an undisclosed price, is a big deal for downtown because in past years, corporate headquarters have been leaving instead of coming, said Tony Morales, a broker at Staubach Los Angeles who represented Herbalife. "The office market is still soft," Morales said, "but the amenities are improving." L.A. Live developer AEG hopes Herbalife will boost the project by using AEG's other facilities, such as Nokia Theatre and Staples Center, for product launches, conventions and meetings. Herbalife could employ studios at L.A. Live to broadcast video to its 60 branch offices around the world and communicate with its 1.5 million distributors. "They'll also drive a lot of traffic into the new Marriott hotel," AEG President Tim Leiweke said. "We think this will be a great branding move for us," said Michael O. Johnson, chief executive of Herbalife. "We'll bring distributors from all over the world to see our bricks and mortar and understand who we are." The company, which had revenue of $1.6 billion last year, is moving to reposition itself as a nutrition business after being known primarily for its weight-loss products before founder Mark Hughes died in 2000. Herbalife sponsors events such as triathlons, bicycle races, volleyball tournaments and soccer games. It has partnered with AEG to put on athletic events at Home Depot Center in Carson. Herbalife will rent 60,000 square feet in a 160,000-square-foot office building at L.A. Live that is now fully leased, Leiweke said. AEG also will be based in the five-story building, but Leiweke declined to identify the other tenant that will move in when the building is completed in 2008.

Has anyone heard of Herbalife? by Joshua Q: What is it? Does it work? Or do you think its a fad? (BTW its a health suplement)

A: Herbalife has been involved in many health problems. Ref: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17692424 Example 3: "Hepatotoxicity is probably associated with the use of Herbalife products. Good luck and good health!! ♠

How does Herbalife work? by SassyMommy Q: My mom just started herbalife, and she introduced them to me. It seemed like a great idea and I started taking it like 3days ago. They suggested that we take the Aloe, than the tea, than the healthy shake then add the protein to that shake, like one after another as a morning routine. I don't know if maybe I'm taking this wrong. But I get major headaches after taking this, I don't know why. Does anyone know the plan or routine I should try following instead of the one they suggested? Maybe the amount I'm taking isn't correct. Anyone have any helpful hints or info? Thanks.

And, because Herbalife is only a crutch for healthy options, it should be avoided. Aloe is an over-rated fad ingredient in countless products and has little to no value to people. It's like acai, hoodia, and all the other "gray area" supplements with reputations that come from folk lore instead of science. Shakes are also a terrible way to get nutrition on a regular basis because they contribute very little to the health of your digestive system and can deliver huge calories in seconds...no mastication, salivation, etc. It sounds like your Mom is a fad freak. You should try to eat healthy...good food is all you need. If you need to know how to eat, here's how. Whether you want to gain weight, lose weight, add muscle, or maintain, you should use the same diet. In other words, everyone should be eating essentially the same macro nutrients (carbs, fats, protein), micro nutrients (vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc.) barring special health or medical considerations because we all have essentially the same physiognomy and there is only one version of peak health. Here is how we should all eat according to the US National Institute of Health who are among the best health professionals in the world and the people doctors listens to in the US. OPTIMAL INTAKE Eat varied, wholesome, and high quality foods such that your daily caloric intake is about equal to your daily caloric burn while keeping your macro nutrient ratios at about 55/25/20 (%calories from carbs/fats/protein) or whatever works for your goals. Go here for more about macros --> http://www.freedieting.com/tools/nutrient_calculator.htm . Only slight changes should be made in the macro nutrient ratios to accommodate the extreme demands of special activities such as extreme athletics or inactivity due to illness. Note: Here are the details in case you're interested: http://health.gov/dietaryguidelines/2010.asp http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/nutrition.html YOU MUST make your own food choices (no supplements without a doctor's recommendation) based on your location, culture, available foods, personal preferences, personal resources, food allergies, etc. However, the words "varied", "wholesome", and "high quality" are important. And, you should consume your food in 4-6 daily meals with healthy snacks between such that you're nourishing yourself every two hours when awake. VARIED means a variety of foods including fruits, dairy, meats, vegetables, grains, nuts, etc. WHOLESOME means as unprocessed, unrefined, nutritious as is practical. HIGH QUALITY means using the best ingredients, the least contaminants or fillers or unnecessary chemicals, etc. TRACKING Nutrient tracking is necessary to ensure you have the optimal caloric intake and macro nutrient balance. For most people, tracking is only required for fat loss because of the difficulty in cutting intake and nutrients while maintaining digestive and appetite satisfaction. However, tracking is an excellent exercise for noobs who are just learning how to eat right for the first time. Tracking makes it necessary to read labels, look up food nutrients, record data, plan meals and recipes, etc. And, as annoying as it may be to have to track, it is easier to do today than ever before with the help of website such as My Fitness Pal ---> http://www.myfitnesspal.com . Here's my tracking as an example --> http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/clickmaster?date=2012-01-01 Try to avoid buying based on advertising and commercial propaganda. Use good sources for information. You could have found the information on Herbalife and more just by going to USA.gov. Good luck and good health!! ♠

Safe to order Herbalife on Amazon? by Mrs.Adam Levine Q: I wanna order the Herbalife shakes, but they are really expensive if I order them through a distributer. I came across Amazon and they sell them for about 35$. I just dont know if this would be reliable?

A: Herbalife isn't safe so it doesn't matter where you buy it, you still won't be able to trust it. Herbalife is sold as a supplement and all US federal health agencies warn against using supplements without the recommendation of a health care professional because supplements are not approved by the FDA, are virtually unregulated, do not have the protections afforded foods and drugs, are not recommended by the US National Institute of Health, do not require any testing, are often contaminated, may not even be what the label says, usually contain cheap ingredients, are often over priced scams, have been known to be dangerous, and can have numerous adverse or unwanted side effects. Herbalife has been involved in many health problems. Here are some examples. And, because Herbalife is only a crutch for healthy options, it should be avoided. You are guaranteed to be disappointed because even if you lose fat with Herbalife supplements ask yourself how you're going to keep it off. Anyone recommend Herbalife? by Miss C Q: I recently have been having herbalife tea and a liftoff tablet for breakfast, and it really boosts my metabolism, I have tried the meal replacement shakes (powder, ice, skim milk, strawberries & banana) for breakfast and realized I ate less lunch and could not even finish half of my dinner that day...I was surprised! My feelings towards herbalife are more welcoming than they were as of a few months ago (i keep saying eating right is all it takes with exercise) but I find it very hard to eat right in my fast pase life. Anyone out there have any good tips about herbalife? What you do, how you eat, your exercise plan and how you have became fit again?

Here's why. One of the most common myths or misunderstandings in diet, nutrition, and fitness is that metabolic rate is responsible for a person's natural tendency toward being fat or thin or muscular. Or that metabolic rate can be changed to help lose fat or gain weight. This is not true and easy evidence of that fact can be found here ---> http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html where basal metabolic rate (BMR) can be calculated with only height, weight, sex, and age. If metabolism was responsible for gaining fat or staying thin, that natural tendency would have to be included in the calculation of BMR, but it's not. In other words, a naturally fat person and a naturally skinny person of the same height, weight, sex, and age will have the same metabolic rate. There will be no difference in their metabolism which means metabolism is not really a factor in natural tendencies toward being heavy or thin. It's important to understand this fact because it will put an end to the frustration that comes with trying to change the metabolic rate to create a specific effect such the loss or gain of body weight, fat, or muscle. Unless you have a real medical issue, your metabolism is fine and nothing you do is going to create more than a normal temporary change in metabolic rate. If it's important to you to blame something for being an ectomorph or an endomorph, then blame your parents because those propensities are inherited...genetic. Or blame your soma (body) type (ecto, endo, or mesomorph). But don't blame your metabolism because it is nothing more than the totality of the energy exchanges which happen every second of every day as required to sustain your life given the demands of the moment. Most people would be well advised to not even use the word metabolism as it has no real relevance to the problems of being an easy or hard gainer. It makes no more sense to think about your metabolism in regard to diet or exercise than it does to think about your car's horsepower when pressing on the gas pedal to go or the brake pedal to stop. If you're concerned with losing fat, gaining weight, building muscle, or maintaining, follow good diet, exercise, and fitness strategies and your metabolism will take care of itself. For more about metabolism, go here ---> http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/metabolism/WT00006 Good luck and good health! ♠
