Why is it "news" whenever an actor reveals their sexual preference? by
Q: For the record, I'm NOT a hardcore / right wing / narrow minded conservative. But I still don't understand why people insist that their sexual preferences are NONE of our business, yet they continue to MAKE it our business. It honestly makes no difference to me whatsoever, so why does this continue to be such a big deal? From football players to actors, here is the latest:
A: Because the more people are honest about their sexuality, the more it will encourage young teens who fear they are gay not to kill themselves. Also, every time someone comes out, whether famous or not, it has the potential to change people's minds about marriage equality and other gay civil rights issues. Most people in the LGBT movement feel that the reason their fight has advanced so quickly is that homophobic people found out that they DO know a gay person or admire a gay person or are related to a gay person, which can change their political philosophy on gay rights. The "It Gets Better" campaign.
Does anyone remember the names of the characters who was in Mean girls? by
Q: Not the actors, the characters
and what is their personality? im making a quiz on quizfarm, and i just want to know! thanx
A: The movie is about Cady (pronounced as "Kay-dee" ) Heron (played by Lindsay Lohan) who moves to Evanston, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, after being raised in Africa by her zoologist parents. Cady's family moved there after her mother received tenure at Northwestern University. She begins attending North Shore High School, where she meets Damian and Janis. Damian (Daniel Franzese) is "too gay to function," and Janis (Lizzy Caplan) is artistic and somewhat alternative; neither is very popular. Cady is also introduced to the Plastics: Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried), Gretchen Weiners (Lacey Chabert), and the Queen Bee, Regina George (Rachel McAdams). Unexpectedly, the Plastics invite Cady to sit with them during lunch. Damien and Janis convince Cady to pretend to be friends with the Plastics so that she can report all the horrible things they say. Cady reluctantly agrees. The scheme becomes more personal when Cady develops a crush on senior Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett), Regina's ex-boyfriend. Karen and Gretchen advise that it is against "the rules of feminism" for Cady to date one of her friend's exes. Meanwhile, Cady's calculus teacher, Ms. Norbury (Tina Fey), tries to convince Cady to join the Mathletes. Both Damian and the Plastics dissuade her from this path, calling it "social suicide." As part of Cady's initiation into the Plastics, Regina brings her home to meet her younger sister, who imitates things she sees on TV (scantily-clad dancers and girls flashing their breasts), and her youth-obsessed mother (Amy Poehler). The Plastics also show Cady their "Burn Book," in which they have pasted yearbook pictures of girls in their grade and written mean messages about them. A few weeks later, Aaron invites Cady to a Halloween party. Cady dresses up as a zombie bride (which she calls an "ex-wife") while all the other girls are dressed as Playboy Bunnies. Upon learning that Aaron invited Cady, Regina becomes jealous and convinces him to be her boyfriend again. Cady witnesses them kissing and leaves, turning to Janis and Damian for comfort and an explanation. They concoct a plan to overthrow Regina by eliminating her "technically good physique," her "high-status man candy," and "ignorant band of loyal followers." Cady also engages in several sabotage plans which all backfire. As Christmas approaches, Cady is inspired to use Gretchen Weiners to access all of Regina's secrets. She makes Gretchen think that Regina is mad at her; Gretchen breaks down and begins spilling information. At the school's Christmas talent show, Gretchen nearly ruins the Plastics' dance routine. Furious, Regina snaps at her and Gretchen finally lets slip a secret Cady can use: Regina cheats on Aaron. After winter break, Cady, Janis, and Damian attempt to lure Aaron to the projection room above the auditorium, where it is implied that Regina hooks up with Shane Oman. This plan is unfruitful, though it is revealed that Coach Carr also uses the projection room--to make out with Trang Pak, a student. While Cady convinces Regina to eat Kalteen nutrition bars, which help with weight gain (fattening her up), she also gets closer to Aaron. Her primary method of attraction is making herself seem bad at math so that she can ask Aaron for help. Cady cannot stop herself from telling Aaron that Regina cheats on him, and he breaks up with her. He does not, however, immediately turn to Cady and she finds herself going to even greater lengths to attract his attention. Soon, Regina's reign over the school begins to show cracks while Cady's popularity grows. At the same time, she is failing math and alienating Janis and Damian, though these matters concern her less and less. Cady discovers just how popular she is when the nominees for Spring Fling Queen are nominated: Regina, Gretchen, herself, and Janis, who Damian nominated as a joke. Cady's final act of sabotage mirrors her first three-way call, initiated by Regina. She conspires to have Gretchen and Karen find out what Regina really thinks of them (Gretchen isn't pretty and Karen is a slut), and succeeds. The next day, Gretchen and Karen turn on Regina and expel her from their lunch table. They turn to Cady as their new Queen Bee. However, her newfound power affects her relationships and drives her to act more like Regina than she realizes. She becomes a fully-realized Plastic when she lies to both her friends and her parents in order to host a gathering at her house for Aaron. Janis believes that Cady has to go to Madison to see a performance by Ladysmith Black Mambazo and her parents believe that she is at Janis's art show. The small gathering turns into a large house party. Cady drinks too much in attempt to ease her nerves and ends up vomiting on Aaron after confessing that she lied to get closer to him. He leaves in disgust. Regina shows up and finds out from Shane that the Kalteen bars are causing her alarming weight gain. Damian and Janis arrive later, furious that Cady lied to them. Fed up, Janis finally explodes at Cady and tells her that she is a "mean girl." In the midst of a furious tantrum, Regina places her own picture in the Burn Book and writes her own horrible message. The next day, she brings the book to Principal Duvall (Tim Meadows). As the only girls not in the book are Cady, Karen, and Gretchen, they are summoned to explain themselves. Regina distributes copies of the book's pages throughout the school to sow discord and disgrace Cady. The junior girls explode into a school-wide brawl. The teachers attempt unsuccessfully to break up the fighting; ultimately, Mr. Duvall smashes a fire alarm to set off the sprinklers and orders all junior girls to the gymnasium. Cady arrives in the gym to find herself personally reviled by every other girl in the room. Mr. Duvall attempts to discuss any "lady problems" the junior class might have, but after one misguided girl opines about her wideset vagina, he hands the reins to Ms. Norbury. Ms. Norbury guides the girls in a workshop designed to get them to openly discuss their problems. Every clique has its share of bitchiness and infighting. Finally, the girls are instructed to read aloud their apologies to one other, then give in to a trust fall. Cady cannot bring herself to apologize without admitting that she wrote the whole Burn Book, though she did write a derogatory entry twisting Ms. Norbury's self-description as a "pusher." Seeing Cady balk, Janis moves to the front of the line and describes the year's scheme to destroy Regina. She exults, triumphant over both Cady and Regina, and dives into the trust fall. Regina runs out and Cady follows. Her apologies are rejected; Regina snaps at Cady that at least she does not pretend to be innocent. As her rant begins to heat up, she is hit by a bus. The next day, the police search Ms. Norbury's classroom for drugs on the basis of the Burn Book's entry. Cady feels bad and admits to making up the entry. Cady then decides to "suck all the poison out of her life." She apologizes to Regina, whose spine was badly injured in the accident. She admits to her father that she is failing math; he grounds her. She apologizes to Ms. Norbury and resumes excelling in math. As her own punishment, Ms. Norbury makes Cady attend the Mathlete state finals, which is on the same night as the Spring Fling Dance. At the Mathlete tournament, Cady is selected to break a tie between North Shore and Marymont. As she sizes up her rather ugly opponent, she realizes that making fun of the other girl will not improve her own math skills. She focuses on her own knowledge about the tiebreaker problem and answers correctly, winning the tournament for North Shore. Afterwards, she intends to return home but Ms. Norbury encourages her to go to the Spring Fling. The Mathletes arrive as Mr. Duvall is annoucing Spring Fling Queen. Cady is stunned to her hear own name and goes onstage to receive her tiara. With her newfound insight, she gives a speech concerning the events of the year. She apologize to everyone, snaps her tiara into small pieces, and throws the pieces into the crowd. Cady apologizes more personally to Janis and Damien, who forgive her. Aaron also forgives Cady. They dance and share a kiss. By the start of the next school year Regina's spine has healed. Her physical therapist has taught her to channel all her rage into sports. Gretchen has joined the Vietnamese clique. Karen reports on the weather for the school news. Aaron attends Northwestern, enabling him to continue dating Cady. Janis has found a boyfriend in Kevin Gnapoor, leader of the Mathletes. The cliques are finally at peace. The film ends on a rather ominous note, hinting at a new generation of Plastics in the new freshman class.
what is a good reality movie about teens life in high school?p.s. is it out yet? by Brooke C
Q: i am bored and i need a good realty movie that you can find on demand thanks for your help
A: Mean Girls summary/plot: Now living in an affluent area of suburban Chicago (Evanston, Illinois), Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) has been raised by her parents in Africa. At age 16, she moves to America to attend public school, after having been home schooled all her life. On the first day, she is surprised by all the rules and restrictions that high school has. She struggles to fit in, but meets two students, Janis Ian (Lizzy Caplan), a rebellious girl, and Damian (Daniel Franzese), her "too-gay-to-function" friend, who decide to show her around and offer her insight into the cliques and hierarchy of the school. One of the groups is known as "The Plastics," a group of popular and superficial girls: Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried), Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert) and Regina George (Rachel McAdams). Regina is considered the "Queen Bee" of the school and Janis hates her, which Cady later finds out stems from the fact that Regina spread rumors about her sexuality. One day, Cady is invited to sit with The Plastics at lunch in the cafeteria where seating is important and restricted to cliques. Afterwards, Janis and Damian convince Cady to eat lunch with them again, so she can report back to them everything The Plastics say and do. For example, Cady is introduced to "The Burn Book" in which insulting comments are made about the other girls. At the same time, Cady develops a crush on Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett). Gretchen and Karen tell her that Aaron was Regina's ex-boyfriend, and therefore, he is off-limits. Although Gretchen promises to keep Cady's crush a secret, she tells Regina. Devising a plan, Regina offers to help Cady win Aaron. During their calculus class, he invites her to a Halloween party. At the party, Regina finds Aaron and kisses him. Cady is infuriated and decides to leave The Plastics. Janis, however, stops her, convincing Cady to keep hanging out with them so that they can get revenge. Regina wishes to lose a few pounds, but Cady gives her "Kälteen" bars, which are supposed to help someone gain weight. Cady also begins to speak to Aaron once again, pretending that she is horrible at math (when in actuality, she is quite good and is asked to join the Mathletes several times). Finally, Cady is able to manipulate Gretchen and Karen into getting angry at Regina, so that eventually Regina is kicked out of The Plastics. However, Cady has begun to act exactly like Regina, much to Janis' displeasure. As soon as The Plastics kick Regina out of their group, Cady becomes the most popular girl at the school. She throws a small get-together at her house that turns into a huge party. Slightly drunk, Cady tries to make a move on Aaron, but he sees through her, calling her a "clone" of Regina and rejecting her advances. She loses her friendship with Janis and Damian, who now hate her just as much as they hated Regina. Regina discovers that "Kalteen" bars make her put on weight, which has been ruining her life. Regina decides to now ruin Cady's life. Regina gives "The Burn Book" to her principal at school, Mr. Duvall (Tim Meadows), and frames the remaining members of The Plastics for writing it. She first makes numerous photocopies of its pages. Distributing these copies around the whole school, she causes all the girls to turn against each other. Outraged, Mr. Duvall gathers all of the junior girls into the gymnasium for an attitude makeover. Cady's math teacher, Ms. Norbury, is asked to take charge of the workshop. The girls are made to confess the bad things they have done and said about their peers. Janis, still angry at Cady, tells everyone about how Cady, Damian and herself thought up a nasty plan to ruin Regina's life. Regina walks out and Cady attempts to apologize, but Regina refuses to forgive her. Regina is then hit by a school bus. The following day, rumors about Regina's accident start to float around school. One rumor states that Cady pushed Regina in front of the bus, which makes even Cady's own parents distrust her. Cady ends up alone with no friends. She enters math class to discover that her teacher, Ms. Norbury (Tina Fey), has been taken away because of accusations of her being a drug dealer, as stated in the Burn Book. Also in the Burn Book was a page about a coach having an affair with two of his students. It turned out to be true, which forced the school to check each of the book's accusations. Cady decides to step up and admit that she wrote the book (although she only wrote the rumor about Ms. Norbury selling drugs). Ms. Norbury's punishment of Cady is to make her join the Mathletes. Although Cady is grounded by her father for a failing grade in math (since she dumbed herself down to get Aaron's attention), she leaves her house to attend a Mathlete competition. At the same time, the rest of the school prepares for the Spring Fling, a school dance. Cady comes to some realizations about life and manages to win the Mathlete competition in the last minute. Ms. Norbury forgives her. After the competition, the Mathletes attend the Spring Fling, where Cady is announced as Queen of Spring Fling. Cady thinks she doesn't deserve the title after all she has done and breaks her crown into small pieces to give to other students. She then makes amends with The Plastics, Janis, Damian and finally Aaron. The following school year, The Plastics break up, with Gretchen joining the "The Cool Asians," Karen presenting the morning weather announcements (she states that her breasts can detect when it is raining) and Regina taking up lacrosse. Cady is now dating Aaron and has become friends with everyone in her senior class.

If you could re-cast the Rocky Horror Picture Show....? by Mandy43110
Q: Who would you use in which rolls and why?
A: Only the originals!! I don't think that a remake would come anywhere close to touching the original one. Hmmmmmm....... Although I could see James Haven (angelina jolie's bro) as Riff Raff...... I'll have to think about this today. You've got me thinking! Edited: Okay okay, now that I've wasted half my morning, here's my re-cast: Frank: John Leguizamo Brad: Matthew Lillard or Luke Wilson (I couldn't decide) Janet: Isla Fisher Magenta: Drew Barrymore Riff Raff: James Haven Columbia: Kate Hudson Eddie: Daniel Franzese Rocky: Paul Walker Dr. Scott: James Lipton Criminologist: Bob Hoskins This is just for fun. Besides if celebrities were to get up on stage and act it out in front of the screen who would you put up there?

hi i need help remembering the names of these two movies. the first one is a thriller about this guy who has a reality show and he has these teenagers in it. The tasks are like fatal and at first the teens dont realize that its actually real like the people are actually dieing but eventually they do. the two sceenes I remember the most is when the gay guy and this rich jerk kid were put in this wrestling ring match thing with knives or swards or something and at first the strait guy is winning but when it comes to where he could possibly make the fatal shot he stops and then waits for the guy to get back up. like he defends himself but never makes a fatal move and then eventually he turns arround and trys to talk to the guy who owns the reality show to tell him he cant kill him( because the bad guy is in a different room watching them from a tv monitor) and then the gay guy says but I can and stabs him in the back. the other sceene I remember is when the "bad boy" looking teenager and this girl are like the last ones left and the "bad boy" says "no matter what happens i wont let you die" then there last challenge is they have to walk on this plank thing with their necks in nooses and he helps her get across and then he jumps off and kills himself so she could servive. The other movie is a crime movie about this woman who draws the bad guys for like police sketches and she's trying to find this little girls(who is like five or six) rapest and she starts drawing and realizes that the person she's drawing looks like her father who died a long time ago and she's thinking like this cant be. At one point in the movie she takes the little girl to the park to see if she can think more clearly and the girl says the drawing the main character drew looked like the guy only their was something different. The main character gives the girl some suggestions on what could have been different about the guy.the girl says no to her suggestions and then these fishermen come by and the little girl points to them and says like that. The main character asks the fishermen to come over and then says to the little girl, what is the guy balding? Is the guy fat and the little girl says no "he's old."
